Default explosions in belmont geelong

All,
I live in belmont it is 10:50ish-pm 9/10/09 and i was just disturbed from my sleep by the sound of xplosions. Two of in fact approximately 5 minutes (maybe less) apart? Any one else hear them too?
What kind of genius' do we have living in this neighbourhood? Did i get teleported to CORIO??!

They weren't gun shots, so don't worry about being in Corio.

But yeah I heard them too, most likely fire crackers I'd assume.

Was there a power outage in the area after the "explosions". If so was probably some high voltage "Drop-Out" fuses blowing

Nope, not that i'm aware of.

I heard firecrackers going off the next night, so i'd say it was just kids playing with them the previous night.

A couple of years ago at Nth Melbourne footy club they thought they heard some bombs go off. Turned out it was only a couple of Kroukers.
