True, but lets not forget that AMG pretty much started as a factory backed tuning house modifying existing cars, they have just been at it longer. Not that I truly think Walkinshaw Performance will reach that status but AMG rose from similar origins.

Simple test guys...

Look at the compliance plate.

XR8 has the code for XR8
DJR 320 also has the code for XR8
GT has the code for GT
GT-P has the code for GT-P (different to GT)
SS has the code for SS
W427 has the code for W427
GTS has the code for GTS

What code is on the compliance plate on a Walkinshaw?

If it is a whole new code then it is an OEM vehicle, if not then it is just an AME HSV.

By that logic, DJR 320 is a AME XR8, which is true because it was.

True... you know where the high end Falcons and Commodores let me down? In the small details that remind you they are built from cooking models. Things like the air con clusters and other hard plastics in the car. IMO, they would do the branding of the car a favour by upgrading everything in the car. I know it'll cost too much, but it's what I would expect, in order to command $140k +
