Personally, I'm a believer of the writings of Matthew Riley. A good Australian kid.
His books, Seven Ancient Wonders, Six Sacred Stones and Five Greatest Warriors, dealt with the end of the world. The world was saved, and now we live on. |

It does raise a good point about overpopulation though, there will be some point at which economies or infrastructure won't be able to sustain huge populations, something has to give somewhere. We are always finding new treatments and ways of living longer and curing diseases as well
