just wondering if au III xr8's REQUIRE premium unleaded, or can they use normal unleaded, Cheers

they can only run on premium - my personal favourites are BP Ultimate and Shell Optimax.

You can run normal unleaded if you get stuck and there's no premium, but that would only be the last option, at a minimal premium or better.

I'd be running 95RON as a minimum in an XR.

Someone should mention this to several dealers that will only fill the cars with reg. I know when i bought mine i watched him put in a complementry half tank of regular unleaded, i cringed so bad he must of thought i was having a stroke.
Needless to say i went straight to the next bp and filled up with ultimate and half babied it on the first tank. |

So i could have stooopid me at the time didn't even think of it. Anyway, it turns out after a few dynos my car runs pretty rich so i could probably get away with it in an emergency.
