Nah, GM America just make them go slower. From memory the Camero was slower around the top gear track then the Maloo.

probably the same reason ford oz dont....

i dont understand the way people try to put down holdens for having the chev motors? holden = chev = vauxhall = gm.... its all the same company.

last time i looked its been rather a substantial chunk of time since ford built their own V8 wholly here in oz....

I wasn't trying to imply that mate. I just don't see any logical reason as to why Holden need to build their own V8s when the GM offerings are just fine.

It's not like Holden don't know how to make their own V8. EFI 304? Or how about the 5.7L stroker in the VS GTS-R?

It's cool. I also like it when we do things for ourselves.

plus it seems 304 inst good enough for the holden driver of it thats why they have to stroke it to 355 lol hopeless if ya ask me

Its called modifying mate. Its the same as people turning up the boost on an xr6t. Btw the 304 was much, much much better than the s1 & s2 3800 6's

Um yeah...

As for Holden drivers stroking it to 355ci like f1tzy said it's called "modifying".

Can't be too bad when so many people still mod them.
