Default Fitting 20's to the AU

Hey all, has anyone had an issue with fitting 20's to an au? I have shorted shockers and kings super lows in it at the moment, with the current 18' azzuros on it the front guard scrubs if i go up a drive way a bit hard at full lock.

If i roll the front guards i should be all ok?

thats odd, i hit front passanger guard if i hit a drive way to hard but never had an issue with full lock it was pretty much any angle that made the tryes touch the lip. im running 19" u can fit 20" but u will difenatly need to roll the front two guards

TUFF640 is was running 20" for a few months give me a Pm and see what he says

I have 20's, king spring super lows and short shocks (not the kind that lower the car tho)
Don't have a problem with rolled guards.

Be wary of pot holes as well, as they dent and bend pretty easy

Iv only been pulled over twice in over 2 years of having a lowered car on 20's.
The first time was a game the cops like to play "next p-plater we see, and your it". He told me so when they pulled me over.

In my small town of just over 10,000 people.. there is 8 police cars in the yard.
4 of them are out on a friday and saturday night... as the town kinda needs the large force..

So in my experience they don't "attract" as much attention as you would think.

Plus i dont see how a difference between 18-19 or 20" rims makes the mind of an officer if they are going to pull you over or not.

Not having a go.. just saying.

Edit: as for the defect bit, the AU's can legally have 21" rims i think.. thats what the officer told me second time i got pulled over.. as she was checking a sticker on the door that apparently tells them what they can ping ya for =P

Im pretty sure largest rim size you can have is max 2 inch's larger than the largest factory sized rim ford offer for the au's, since that would be the 18 inch azzuros the 20 inch rims would be legal!

Ah k well either way, the 20's will be fine so long as the guards get rolled.

i thought it was 2 more inchs then a standerd rim size,

my au came with 15 inch so legally im only spouse to have 17 inch rims, but if i had a xr witch came with 17s from factory i can run 19s

ive run 20's on mine for about 2 years, never been pulled up yet.

ive got lovells ultra lows in the front, guards arnt rolled, no problems at all...

dunno how much the difference is between kings and lovells are though, wouldnt imagine it would be much.

had 20s on mine about 6 months back (im the TUF-640 brad was talking about :P)
at the time the car only had tickford lowered springs in the front, super lows in the back 225/35s all round and never once hit the guards. now im on azzuros too, 235 in the front and super lows to match the rear and still no rub..i guess every cars different as it comes down to spring/shock/tyre/wheel combos
as for legalities with 20s as far as i know 20s are still legal provided u run 245/30 tyres which would be a hell ride more than the 35 profile not to mention extra pothole damage
i drove around for a good 4 months with them on the car, only once did i ever get looked at by the police as i drove past but never got pulled over with them on...but i guess my car wasnt on the floor like every other geelong hoon :P
been pulled over more since it was back on factory tickfords! that makes sense! :s
anyway hope that helps with everything
