Default WQ Fiesta question

Hey guys, New to the forums so first off hello

Anyway i am considering buying a 2006 WQ Fiesta Zetec and ive done my research and read my reviews etc.

The particular one im considering has 60 000 ish k's. 1 owner and very well maintained.

Having said that its a 4 speed Auto and im not very informed about cars built by Ford nor can i find anything on the forums after a quick search. ( i would prefer the manual but this ones a clean example )

Just wanted to ask if the Auto has any known faults in terms of long term reliability. Im not a fan of Auto's especially if they are known to be aged and flimsy :/

Also upon inspection are there any well known things that need to be looked over for Fiesta's in terms of common little problems??

I am pretty close to committing to the purchase so any information would be helpful

Find a manual, you won't regret the wait.
The auto is fine & not really known to be a problem. But the manual Zetec is so much more fun.
But I would say that.

Ive got a wq lx 07 auto. Haven't any problems - that said, its only travelled 55,000 km.

I would have to agree with kiwijohn, hang out for the manual if you can but there's nothing really wrong with the auto. Actually, its one of the better 4 speeder autos that i have driven. Doesn't tend to be vague or hunt around with gears. That said, its not going to be a dsg or a 6/7 speeder.

Economy is pretty average. I'm getting 8.2l per 100 km in city driving (and me driving like a complete nanna).

Hey guys thanks for the replies.

Hmm not really after manual fun. My last car was a 95 supra and fun came at 3-4k repairs in the last 2 months of ownership ;) so lets say im a bit over that area for a while.

Just want something trouble free economical car (that still looks decent) for a few years. Fiesta was looking good and known to have less body roll than most 'entry' level cars.

And yeah this cars really been taken care of. Theres literally no sign of age its amazing. fussy owner.

Seriously, if want economy, go the manual, I was getting between 620 and 650k's to the tank from my last WQ LX (zetec will be a little more due to the different gear ratios)

Cheers
