Just encase you havent heard of it, because life is different up your way, its basically refers to a sports car that is more of a styling exercise than a drivers car..thats it.

I forgot you have never generalized before.

This is just a general comment on the direction that Toyota has taken and perhaps why.
So taking a common ordinary car, sticking a more powerful engine, some shiny wheels, a body kit, some stripes and a badge to make it look sporty would be a, as you say, "styling exercise"?

LOL at this thread really, I love the Toyota 4by's, something about Toyota reliability springs to mind here...Toyota will keep on doing what they're doing until people stop buying their cars.

And on the Celicas being Hairdressers cars, I remember the Mustang was originally called the Secretary's car, doesn't seem to be a real muscle nickname, some still use today.

And that was first coined by none other than Carol Shelby himself....

Yes it is a bit of a giggle really.

Even if Toyota made a V8 RWD performance car that sold for the same price as a falcon or commodore the majority in this thread would not buy it anyway.....

When i was in market for a ute, i had a look at the Hilux.

Incredibley overpriced (new shape ones are astronomically overpriced).
For what you get for 18k and under it was quickly crossed off my list.

Dont know why people rave about them they are imo boring as bat ****. Guess gennerally people dont care for some things when they go to buy a car.

And you have a Subaru Leone for offroad duties, and you say the Hilux is boring as bat****.

Is that how you sum up the Celica because its not what we were talking about, unless of course your talking about FPV and taking the topic off course...again. Tiburon, MX6, Probe et al...its not hard. Talk about getting stuck on minor detail.

Thats not what we are discussing...it was simply a look back at what Toyota has left behind....bit of a general chat that all...no better or worse than starting a hypothetical poll you could say.

No wonder there is a banana shortage, you have stashed them in you head.

Yeah my boss has one of those, his doesn't even have the features mine has from the factory built 12 years prior.

Put it this way, I have more fun driving and playing with my Hilux on a daily basis than I did with my Typhoon so can't be too boring, unless that is saying something about FPV
