Default XR6Turbo changeover price

I noticed Ford's runouts on series11 XRs, Now I realise that the advertised $31,990 is on N/A plus on road. But It got me thinking of updating my Merc Silver XR6turbo.
What sort of changeover figure should I be looking at from my standard Dec 2002 5 speed manual to a BA 11 6 speed manual? I have been to Westpoint Ford who inform me there are a few still left... I'm after Winter White with leather & Premium sound as only extras

While the new car being cheaper means you'll get it cheaper, it also means it pushes resale prices of used cars down as well.

Ford had this real problem when I was shopping for BA XR6 NAs and Turbos on the weekend... they had heaps of one year old BAs which they had traded in with sticker prices of 34 grand or so and now they are more expensive than the brand new runout cars.

I guess it depends what you think you'll get for your Turbo, considering I found a white BA XR6 Turbo 2004 model for sale for $26 grand in Sydney with premium brakes, you might get a rude shock as to what Ford will offer you for it.

If you can sell your car privately for a price you're happy with, then a runout is a great buy. If you are thinking of trading it in, brace yourself.

I reckon you would only be offered $15 - 20K for your XR6T mate. Quite a number of older XR6Ts around at around $25K if you look, so to sell at that price they would have to be bought cheap.

I'd be interested to hear what you are offered (PM me if you don't want to post on the forum), as mine is Dec 02 model as well.

Depends on the Kays, new Turbos are $42,000 drive away and there are plenty of them around, its just a matter of getting it transfered from another dealer if yours doesnt have it in stock.

If your T has done less then 50,000 kays expect around $24,000 trade, if its done more expect less. Id say roughly 20,000 change over plus leather and premium sound which would probarly make it $23,000 change over. A BF on the other hand you'd be looking at probarly 10 grand more!

4 - 5 months ago I traded my 2003 auto T for $32k (after initially being offered $29k) but it had 18's and premo sound and just under 20,000kms on it.

I can't believe how quickly their value has fallen.. Boy am I glad I got rid of mine when I did!

Charlie maybe edit it. You will want to keep it that way, trust me!

Wouldn't it just be cheaper to swap a T56 into the BA1 and then edit the engine? Wouldn't cost anywhere near $20,000 to do all that.....

I just bought an 04 BA XR6 this weekend, must have seen half the XRs in Sydney for sale, and there are plenty of Turbos out there, both runout and used.

Anyhow, shes in at the babysitters (dealer) tonight gettin her 60k service,& new gearshift boot, clutch spigot bearing and another set of front rotors... AND I'm driving one of those great new Territory AWD things!....
Hey, aren't they a bit of all right?.. sit up nice & high, you can park illegally outside schools when dropping off the kids, you can comandeer any parking spot at the supermarket, and tailgate REAL close to intimidate the hell out of lowly sedan drivers!
Seriously though, put the turbo package on one of these and they are going to be a VERY nice ride.

There should be a fair few turbos around dealerships... they only stoped building BA II's a month ago!
