HI guys I am putting a 4 speed escort box into the auto Mk2 escort I bought. has any one done this before, the auto crossmember does not quite line up

Possibly a manual crossmember would do it. . . . But I remember fitting a late model box to a mk1 years ago, and welding steel straps to the crossmember and drilling new holes in the straps to line up with the mount holes.
