There is an ok one in Carrum Downs - not too far from you!
They are all lots of fun if you're happy spending a fair bit of $, and everyone gets into it! Best one i've been to is at Moamma, but thats not really Vic! Realise you are going to be in pain, because everyone on the field will be gunning for you... (experienced in that!) |

Whatever you do, look at the package prices for the balls. Last time we went, the first 5 guys in our group all lined up buying their share of balls individually only to find that if they combined their cash and got a larger box of balls they would have got like 30% more shots for the same money.
Wear baggy clothes, and get the bike gloves they offer....

Oakleigh has really small indoor fields which makes it quite interesting as it's mostly close quarter shootouts.

I went to the Carrum Downs one last year, 3 courses. Pretty good.
No need for gloves! You need to feel the sting!!

Oakleigh is insane fun, but a more expensive option.
Dingley is the most expensive I know of but easily the best. Coldstream I didn't like much because it was way too big, but by far the cheapest I've been to. ALWAYS buy group packs. And buy more than you think. I go through 2400 in a full day when I use the semi automatic dual trigger gun. Take about 30% of paint off if you use the single trigger one, but the semi auto is much more fun. Do wear a cup, do wear gloves, don't wear good clothes underneath and do wear steel capped boots. If anyone tells you it doesn't hurt, they are lying or haven't played before. It DOES hurt, especially if you have a shaved head and got shot on the head. Any fatty parts like thighs, gut, side etc hurt the most, but there is no part on your body that it feels good!

how many paint balls on average would beginners use on a session? from 9am - about 3-4pm with a break in the middle.

Last time I went I used about 400 balls. Still had some to spare but I was using them sparingly as I had limited funds. If you don't mind throwing some money at the game you could easily go through 600+

Only started this year (all their gear is BRAND new) Good fun. Great course (inside a pine plantation) Not that far out of Melbourne.
