I have a 1966 Mk1 Cortina and I'm attempting to replace-insert the stainless steel trim into the channel of rubber seal. After spending 2 days and many variuos methods I just cannot get the trim into the top corners. |

Hi. The stainless trims were fitted before the screen was put into the car. The plastic strip on later models was put in after the screen wet in. Cheers MD

Foxtrot is right - the trim goes in before the screen is put back.
Fortunately it's a very easy job to remove the screen again and after you've refitted it with the moulds you'll kick yourself! |
