Hey there fellow forum people, just got my 86 Tx3 back on the road after a long hiatus of 8 years, found that the speedo is not showing driving speed or distance travelled, however when im in first gear and put my foot down the needle moves and bumps around, i have a small bit of understanding on how the unit works, can the disk loose its magnetism.???.
Just about to go out and check the cable is connected to the back of the cluster and to the gearbox also.! I only gather that it is due to the needle movement Cheers Dan |

never mind, found that the clutch cable was not fixed against the gearbox, with a bit of work being done in behind there i had given the speedo cable enough of a shunt to pop off the cluster connection, can't have been on proper in the first place. Prob solved
