Honestly im not sure. Was thinking FG 50th anniversary rims. Although i went and had a look at an awesome set yesterday but the rears were 9 1/2" wide which i wasnt comfortable with. I can see the car has had wide wheels on in the past and was rubbing on the tub so think ill stick with 8's

So i picked up some 19" advanti chopper rims today. Pretty good condition for used rims. Got them home and went to put them on and my bloody nuts were too big! So go down to all 3 of my local car shops and only 1 of them have the nuts i need. And to top it off they only have 15. Anywho hes getting more in monday. In the mean time i have fitted the fronts. Rears to be done monday. They need new tyres anyway. Will upload photos on the computer

this is how she looks with new wheels. bit of a saga in the end. drove from mornington peninsula to ararat to get these. turns out two tyres were shagged. so i go to tyre shop today and ask for the $145 tyres. come back and they put on the $245 tyres. then i go to put them on my car and the standard wheel nuts were too big, so i race all around town to get new nuts. finally after alot of work and unexpected money they are on and im very happy with them

Car went into tge shop today and got new iridium plugs and leads, fuel filter, reset the clutch as it was way too high and a full service. Felling much much better, especially with the foot down!

I got a call today from DEA performance telling me my hurricane extractors were in even though i never ordered them. I figured what the hell, may aswell get them done now, so shes booked in for thursday.

yeah still plenty to do. definately want to lower it but since i spent $3k on it in a week i need to save some more funds. ill be focusing on smaller mods for a while, like the clear indicators you mentioned.

ill load some pics of it as it sits on the weekend.

Looking good. Have you thought about finding a set of those pods that sit under the front bar on each side? I know they can be difficult to find sometimes

to the number plate or under the rear bar to the right of the exhaust.

i get F all light from my revers light in the bar. really cant see anything in the dark.

Install some ba mark2 ute rear tail lights.
These have reverse lights in them.
Get better light when reversing.

Personally I think the plain look of the AU/BA rear tail lights look better but I suppose not as functional as the later.

Yeah i thought about doing this but im not sure what is exactly required to change them over. Clearly there's extra wiring required to accommodate the reverse lights.

The front pods can be bought here. Not genuine ofcourse and are made of fibreglass. However they do look proper.

Yeah the ones on my red xr6 above were only fibreglass. I think most of the genuine ones would've been destroyed by now although my silver xr8 had 350,000kms on it and still had the original ones on it

Lower it. Please?

BA lights is easy, just grab the reverse light from the loom and route it to the taillights.

The pods look good. I have never noticed them before.

I definitely want to lower it. I already have the front springs. Got them cheap second hand but the rears are pretty expensive and i have spend a fair bit on it lately so they will have to wait unfortunately.

Blocks are cheap and you'll have more clearance with the bigger rims to run them.

Yeah im really not sure if i wanna use blocks or not. The rear springs have a really bad rattling noise when you hit a bump. I havent worked out exactly what is causing it yet but i figure getting new springs will fix that issue.

If i go with blocks then i have to figure out the issue and fix it.

Might just be the bushes in the back of the spring which are easy to change. I have some 2" blocks if you want them but i don't have the extended u bolts for them. Running these blocks just means you can't run a 16" spare
