Wednesday night Race 4 Real off-street meets continue to be one of the most popular events on the Sydney Dragway calendar and it’s quite easy to see why!
Here are some great performances from last week’s Race 4 Real at Sydney Dragway. Top Holden of the Week  With a best time of 10.98 @ 123.84 MPH, there’s no doubt that this purple LH Torana was packing some serious muscle underneath that enormous bonnet scoop. Top Japanese of the Week  The Toyota 86 has proven to be a huge success since they first hit our roads in 2012. Toyota’s chassis combined with Subaru’s boxer powerplant has made for one incredibly balanced sports car. This white example turned up with nothing more than a set of aftermarket wheels and a TRD wing and managed a best run of 15.86 @ 90.59 MPH. Top European of the Week  No one builds go-fast luxury cars quite like Mercedes-Benz. Thanks to its 375kW twin-turbo V8, this C63 AMG pulled off a best run of 11.41 @ 122.97 MPH. Pretty impressive for a luxury sedan in factory form. Top Rotary of the Week  Standing out with its black and red colour scheme, this unique Mazda RX-2 buzzed down the strip to a best time of 102.69 @ 88.55 MPH. Top Ford of the Week  With the Falcon now out of production, it was great to see this Aussie icon here at Sydney Dragway. With a best time of 10.72 @ 129.29 MPH down the quarter mile, this mint XY Falcon was far from standard. Commentators Pick of the Week  Of all the classic muscle cars that Australia can call its own, the Chrysler Valiant is particularly rare. This gunmetal grey example was an absolute monster, cracking into the 9s with a best run of 9.80 @ 134.91 MPH. Race 4 Real is on every Wednesday night at Sydney Dragway, weather permitting.
