Hi all, Was wanting to know what people would consider a fair price for a set of the classic snowflake rims, also would the fit the standard brakes on a series 3 AU?

$600 if in good condition would seem fair to me.

BUT - you really shouldn't be using those E-series low offset wheels on an AU or anything later. (RTV's are different - they need low offset )

As Raptor advised.
Not only diameter but wrong offset AU +35 PRE+AU usually +0 offset but can be up to +6 Unsure if it is possible to fit PRE+AU wheels on an AU You can fit AU+ wheels on a PRE+AU with 30mm spacers UNLESS you mean FG Snowflake rims

I would be interested to know too, only because my dad gave a set away when he sold my brother's Fairlane years ago and if they're worth something it will give me some good quality bants.

What Raptor said.
Snowflakes were available on XE, XF and EA

Not sure of your location, but went to Ballarat swap meet today. Had more snowflakes there, than 1982 when they were being installed. Some good condition, some crap condition though. Varied from $280 to $600 for 4

I was thinking the same as Raptor.
To me, the XF Ghia snowflake was the nicest. The machined silver against the dark background, and the larger cap in the middle. They really looked cheap on EA S models when they painted them silver all over. |
