Default Odd things you believed in as a kid

pure plagiarism, I have
borrowed' this from another forum, some of the answers were funny as but it also shows something of the age we each grew up in.

My mother had eyes in the back of her head.

Ok; masturbation makes you go blind. Still not sure about that one; I'll look it up in Wikipedia after my new reading glasses arrive.

My uncle used to tell us he got his finger stuck in his nose whilst picking it and they had to chop it off! Pretty sure it was caught in cane harvesting equipment.

I thought that all young women were pure, angel like, mysterious, fascinating, butter wouldn't melt in their mouth creatures.

Boy, has that opinion changed

And they always landed in good old USA.
Well that might explain a few things, a lot of them are from another planet.

Lived in country NSW as a kid.
We were going to visit Sydney and I was terrified of the drive over the Bridge because I thought we’d be driving over the arch.

santa claus, the easter bunny, tooth fairy and ADULTS TELLING THE TRUTH AND WISDOM.

but i was in a family that taught "the fear of god" , and "if you do this wrong you will go to hell" that was my lesson. and "little boys should be seen and not heard" as a naïve young lad, they were all strong words.

i don't take that stuff to seriously, these days. i,m just a ****in alcoholic now.(joke)

As I was told, Rolls Royces have a lifetime warranty and hardly ever break down. Seems nothing is further than the truth. About as reliable as a politician's promise.

A mate had one of them, multiple victims suicided. I’ve given thought to subtly removing the name from his headstone - if the whole thing was destroyed or taken up, it would probably be replaced - simply taking his name away it might remain.
