An interesting article for anyone who is selling their car privately and getting paid by bank cheque....

Got more front than Myers.

Luckily his insurance paid out. I would have thought it was something not covered.

pppfffttt i would NEVER take a cheque wait till you got the cash then they can buy my car.

It's a bank cheque not a personel cheque. Big difference. No way would I pay for a car with anything but a bank cheque. When I present the bank cheque I also present the reciept for the bank cheque.

I remember a few years ago there was a large amount of bank checks stolen.

man thats nasty.

Ill guess ill be a bit more investigative in the future. I using get payed/pay with bank cheques.

Bankcheques are a fantastic way to pay for a car. If you have insurance you're covered anyway, as if its a false cheque, its classed as theft.
