It was a Land Rover 'style' vehicle from the mid 1960's. It was only offered in RWD and had a Skoda engine.

"Trekka"



Found this with the photo:

They sold fairly well but with them only being RWD they just couldn't compete with the Land Rover off road, and with the import regulations being relaxed they were too expensive when compared with fresh Japanese imports.
There pretty rare to see on the road anymore, most of them seem to be quietly decomposing in farmers back paddocks

No not a Benz but from the same part of the world. In fact the car was developed by an insurance dealer in an old spinning mill in Bernbeuren.

I tried everything on google and can't find anytbing. Tried searching for the manufacturer using the badge, but alas nothing. Looks kind of like a Chapparel but wasn't one of those either. I also thought some sort of vw from the badge being a w with a v type shape theough it. I am stumped.
