While the basic Ford Six was code named Barra, the Turbo version clearly deserved its very own moniker – again enter Gordon Barfield.
We asked him if the engine had actually been called “Seagull” and how that came about.
“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.

2000hp - 7sec street car. Although the arent stupid enough to keep it at 2000hp for street so they drop it back to "only" 1000hp...

Default PASHEN up for sale on EBay

Not associated with the sale in any way, just thought turbo followers would be interested to see this car reappear....

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....E:B:SS:AU:1123

I assume Im not breaking any rules posting the link since Im not selling it!!! Just thought others might enjoy seeing it again.

Is the owner on here?

No offence to the owner but that looks rather rough all over (not bad workmanship just under done in most areas). Is there something special about this car that I am missing?

I know in the ad it says that It's had over $95'000 spent on it but to be totally honest I can not see it anywhere.

It's been for sale a few times now. Probably no harm in discussing it a bit but no real need to let this one last long.

That's one hell of a feat fitting a 4,000 litre engine under a stock Falcon bonnet though.

Special only in view of it being one of the first, and possibly the best known, modded BA turbo. If I remember the original owner sold it for $49K when it changed hands in 05. Need to remember too a ton of mods were by original owner when the cost of APS kits etc was sky high....

I reckon they're talking purchase price + mods at 95K, which in 05 is entirely possible.

Anyway, just thought I'd mention it as its almost a piece of BA history for the turbo brigade
