So far the manuals should be here Jan build Feb/ March delivery. most dealers will promise the world but the fact is that they are very hard to get as there only works out that every dealer might have only get 2 to 3 cars that they can sell

Sounds like what my dealer said. First it was February build however they are now trying to change there first allocation auto car to my manual car if they are successful it may be a January build. Waiting to here back!

I wouldn't hold my breath on swapping an Auto allocation to a Manual. In my experience, the only way that could happen is a Dealer to Dealer swap, one allocation for another...if they have an Auto allocated, that's what they'll be getting.

Put a deposit down on a manual Victory Gold XR8 about 2 weeks ago,dealers still don't know there allocation or delivery date, as there waiting on information from Ford .Said I wanted a 2015 build with sunroof fitted prior to delivery which is $2800

Further to above, I've now been told that the car should be built before the end of this month and will be at the dealer ship in the 1st week of December. So, depending on what point in the week that is and how quickly the PD and tint can be done, I should have it no later than the second week in Dec.

Sunroof probably still wont be covered under Ford warranty so find out who they get to install and have it installed yourself. Mine in my FG cost 2200 so you may save yourself a few bucks. I'm on Gold Coast and the name of installer up here for nearly all of NE QLD is East Coast Sunroofs. They come to your house and do it there, preferably under cover. Takes about 6 hours iirc.

Dealer told me yesterday that there 2 allocated ones are not the one I am after which he said are coming in early December. He said once they come in they will try and swap stock with another dealer if not probably January delivery.

Hey Kempy, don't hang your hopes on the Dealer Swap, it really is a long shot when these cars are generally pre sold, not out of the question given notty mentions still having one available but it is a long shot.

I know the wait is a pain but I always tell my customers to do the wait rather than compromise what they want, in 2 years time you won't remember the wait but you will still be walking out to what you bought in the driveway...make that exactly what you want, no matter what or you'll always regret it.

Rang Prestige Sunroofs in Melboure yesterday for price for sunroof fitted after delivery,price was $2565 . For the sake of $235 extra to get fitted pre - delivered and 2 nights accommodation (takes 3 days to fit) I will get fitted before delivery.Love the sunroof in my BA and will look great in my new FGX XR8

I've sold 8 of them personally and the Dealership is up around 30 odd I believe.

ETA feb/march i was told.

I've gone with Kinetic, Auto for $59,300 on road.
I've been told the dealer is expecting the car on their lot by the 6th of december so starting to get excited.

Confirmed order on a FG X XR8 manual in Smoke $54,417.10
delivery in April or May.
(price is for unregistered with a permit to drive home).

My research found there were only 1200 engines for the XR8, once sold
there were no more.

Has anyone else come across the 1200 engine statement ?
