You seriously need to lighten up, if you don't like it don't watch it, simple as that.

Thats my point, I was channel surfing, caught this part and then turned it off.
If other people watch it and enjoy it good luck to them, I've never watched it before, I only saw this bit and thought it was stupid to scare people like that just for them to get a laugh.

Thank you, I would appreciate that.

Of course you're entitled to your opinion mate, just as I'm entitled to disagree with it

Funny how in your OP you say 'stupidity' is not your type of humour, then not three sentences later you say you'd laugh at seeing someone bashed with a bat. :

The Chaser might get skewed a bit sometimes but there is plenty of hilarious satire to make up for that.

Anybody remember when they put the tollbooth to the entrance of the Maquarie Bank shareholder meeting? classic!

Do you even realise that they didn't actually harm anyone? Hell even the guy who ran a few city blocks didn't give a s*** in the end. Lighten up.

Also to anybody who is defending the politicians for copping abuse you need a massive kick up the backside. The majority of these guys (women included) get the easy life and get plenty of our money.

I find the chasers hilarious. Something's go too far, but I still find them funny none-the-less. Society's going too politcally correct, and good to see some people willing to test the threshold out and see people's reactions.

Flame me ...

You though it was stupid, i though it was hilarious. I will continue to watch the show, you won't. Just a difference of opinion, it would be a pretty boring place if everyone though the same

Didn't see it, but i think it says something about society that not one person or group of people stood up to this guy Pretending to Rob shops.

If I was in a shop and i guy walked in with a stocking on his head and looked like he was going to rob the place and I was able to safely do something to stop him I would.

I agree. I know that the shows not to everyone's taste but for some people the show is great. at least it's different from every other crime show on t.v. I think it's good that there is a show that can poke fun at stuff people take so seriously. I love the show and I've watched those guys every since it was CNNNN. POLITICAL SATIRE ROCKS!

I say they went to far with that one.

Well below their usual standard....well below.

Personally I would say that chaser's is hilarious some of the time, but I find myself cringing more than laughing.

How many "robbers" do you think walk in to rob a place with a full camera crew in tow

Obviously from the reaction that people had to looking up and seeing a man with a stocking on his head ..the fact there was a camera crew in tow didn't enter their minds.... :

Your missing the point - the victims of this skit here where innocent people who had the crap scared out of them intentionally in the name of entertainment.

Chaser is great but this was so far below their usual wit....

The guys from The Chaser even admitted the fact on TV and radio after being attacked by Today Tonight a few months back. So settle down guys, have a breather, and enjoy the show.

i watch the show all of the time and most of the skits are top shelf[ the suprise spruker, the canterbury bulldogs rape kits etc] but some of their stuff recently has been crap.if i jumped out of a dark doorway and scared your mum [and filmed it] would you think it's funny .i'm all for taking the p!ss out of people who deserve it but not innocent people.

'the poxiest war on nothing' makes me cringe every time i'm too lazy to change channels. those try hard 'so called' comedians need to learn respect for people, such as sophia loren.... i mean wtf was that crap? : and why is this 'show' (and i use the term loosely) even on tv, when the glasshouse was 100x funnier/better? i can't wait till that crap gets axed! :

I have never seen this show but it sounds really hard case.
:

I remember one show a few years back with an english guy called Jeremy Beadle, who played pranks-real pranks, not staged-on unsuspecting members of the public.
There was one show that was great. It was at a military airport and Beadle was playing the parking attendant, and instructed this lady to park her little car in the "new" public parking area close to the runway tarmac.Anyway, while she did her thing in the ticketing office, they substituted her car for one that looked exactly the same- and got a military fighter to come out and park about 30 yards from this car-ready for takeoff.
Beadle quickly went and found the lady under the "I think we made a mistake with the parking area..." routine and bought her back just in time to see the fighter blow it's afterburners and singe her little car to a crisp!
Oh -the look on that ladys face!

Classic pre-jackass stuff!
