Cheers mate. Exactly my thoughts. I want to do something he'll remember and that will make his day. Figured this would be something he would talk about long after his birthday, and yeah not just another gift in the pile.

Sounds like a great idea for a present, I still remember my first ride in a big block Cobra Jet Mustang....

I'd love to help, but I'm too far away, and don't own an FG anything....
Good luck with your search.

i reckon it's a nice idea to, i'm sure you'll find someone who can help you out. I remember when i was about 16 my old man took me for a spin in a brand new 30th anniversary EL GT, was an awesome experience.

Great b'day idea, but it could turn out quite expensive after he rides in a turbo then trades the XR6!

If only I was local I'd be willing to help, alot of people have taken my car out for a fang, I'm paying enough to insure the bastard so it never worries me.

Damn... I'm yet to find someone in Melbourne willing. In general there's been a good response from members but none of them live in VIC... Thanks for the thought!

why dont you tell him to do what I just did for my 21st and go buy one!

but seriously, you should try and get a few mates together for some extra cash and get him a V8 supercar test drive.
you get to drive the car around a track for 5 laps. I would of loved something like that for my 21st. i know a lot of people who are not even car enthusiasts and they said it was one of the best things they've done.

/association with that idea.

I'd help out if I owned an FG or a BF or even a turbo 6 but alas all I have is a 3V BA and it wont exactly blow your mates socks off...

I can understand how some owners are reluctant but others can be more than generous.

When I was deciding what exhaust system I wanted a couple of members on here were more than willing to help with my request for a listen and ride along. And they both had modded GTs. In fact one had a highly Herrod modded GT-P, and he just handed me the keys and said take it for a drive, ON MY OWN!
He didnt know me from a bar of soap and here he is giving me the keys to his then $60G pride and joy. Sure my car was parked at his property but a bog stock 1 year old V8 XT isnt really the same value as GT-P of the same vintage. That really blew me away!

Not something I would generally do but may be able to make an appearance if im not doing much. My cars not really modded much at all and I dont think your mate would choose a ride in a mildly modded BF xr6t over an FG F6!
Still, if you think he might want to see both or compare or whatever, PM me the details of when and where and il see what I can do.

Thanks for the offer mate! I appreciate it! But i won't be able to afford to bring two cars down to surprise him. The FG F6 is his 'dream car' so I can't go past that at the moment! Thank you again!

Oh i forgot you were offering payment! Mate I wouldn't ask for any sort of payment, nor would I accept any just to show up. Besides, id get to meet some falcon enthusiasts and have a bt of a look at an F6 (that is redrum would let me ).

Up to you, if its more the merrier il try and make it, but if you think just the one is best then thats fine too
