I refuse to discuss things on the phone that can be done in person and have used SMS text messaging probably about 5 times in my whole life.
Looks like your speaking ability doesn't translate to the keyboard either.

I have no fear of phones, but hate it when the person on the other end talks as if you are 100 miles away and they are try to tell you something without a phone (ie they yell), or they talk so softly you have to ask them to repeat everything and speak up!

Yes! Although;

I turn my phone on loud when I sleep so that the alarm wakes me up in the morning.

Otherwise the vibrate noise on the table or in my pocket is more than enough notification.

I hate people listening to my conversation or people who think everyone wants to hear theirs while they are on public transport

I generally am fine with phones but I knew a friend from school who got zapped by lightning while talking on the phone and now has a fear of it happening again, so tries to keep calls very short.

After working in retail for far too long, I know exactly what you mean by pure refined hatred for people on the other end....

In regards to my mobile, if it ever rings i will just usually ignore it anyway. I will only speak to people on the phone when I want to!
