IRS and all that interior and sound deadening etc. does add up, but yes who would have thought a Focus tipping the scales at a similar weight to an XY Falcon!

im not actually fealing the vibe, that interior is pretty ordinary visually, to busy. And the tail lights on the hatch? it looks fugly like a citroen kind of, but hey this is just my opinion. 4WD option yet?

Not a fan of the styling whatsoever, both in and out. I prefer the current model.

Yeah, your love for the Cruze is well documented.

With the huge amount of gear and power you get in the TDCi Focus Titanium, I think I would be hard pressed to buy one over say a $60,000 BMW 3 series.

Has anyone seen this comparison? The Focus seems promising.

After viewing the photos, I have one important thing to say:

The Focus sedan looks absolutely STUNNING! Good job Ford

I'll take a Focus Sport manual sedan in white, thanks. I'm definitely pleased to see a full sedan range; some of us don't 'get' the whole hatch thing.

New diesel is auto only, what the hell?

A bit late with things like VNT, Hyundai i30 diesel has had that from the start.

Without looking up specs that does look very similar to what a Mondeo weighs which is a bit of a worry. The old diesel hatch was 1450kg-odd from memory?

Many differences I can see straight off the bat, most of which I was against (exterior) when deciding on my XR5 purchase... What I really don't like is the million buttons it has - Talk about a distraction!... I do like the blue accent lighting though :-)

Is it just me or has every pic of the new Focus so far made it look like a 4x4? More so the hatch. I think it may be because of the black strip along the sills.

Let alone the Cruze - the Focus III oozes style and sophistication compared to Holden's "bashed crab" offering.

It isn't a high-tech dual-clutch job thus more a manual than an auto in the strict sense of the word? I don't know just asking, but if it is a dual-clutch DSG style box then it is certainly not an auto in the sense that most people understand.

Well I'm glad to see that they have finally seen the light and put the stupid tail lights in the correct spot. However the interior is WAY too busy. Tech-Heads will be happy though

I hope FORD get the advertising right and it sells a ship load..
"Ambiente" is actually current in some markets. Whilst looking for current model Focus accessories I came across Ford South Africa's website, and their base model is "Ambiente".

Looks Good but how can you release a 2012 model car with a 5 speed manual.

A 6 speed manual shoud have been standard!
