From a content perspective, those are bigger losses than the line locker. However, such omissions are made either due to bottom line concerns or held over for model refresh purposes.

The yanks get all the good stuff while we get thrown scraps. Pathetic really.

Yeah, the Mustang GT sucks, especially if it doesn't come with a feature that voids its factory warranty upon first usage.

What I dont get about one Ford is that almost every other company seems to get it (global cars)..germans, japanese etc....its not hard. You dont notice the others playing with the products as much.

Given the way the world works with information everywhere people see a release in another country and expect it to be the same here, especially when pre-ordering.

Im not sure about those bonnet indicators, a bit weird, the standard US GT spec is perfect...

I don't think it is the feature itself that is the issue here but our country and it's backwards way of thinking. It applies to just about everything.

Australia is stuck in the 19th/20th century mindset with the need to ban just about anything that it doesn't understand or care to.
Instead of embracing the future we're running away from it and it shows. We're not the lucky country any more and haven't been for a while. Just look around you, there isn't much to brag about any more. The place is falling apart, give it a few more years and there'll be nothing left.

The cynic in me would then say why offer such a feature? A way to save costs by voiding warranties thats easy to check for dealers?

There are quite a few European and Asian spec cars we don't get in the US. You don't notice that because you get them. You got the Focus RS--we've never gotten one until the upcoming version. We don't get Focus convertibles, either. We also don't get Falcon or Ranger, and we never got Ka or Puma.

All the manufacturers struggle with the different crash, emissions, and fuel economy regulations all over the world, but people here follow Ford so that's where they notice differences.

You don't get all our GM or Chrysler products, either.

Because Americans like to drag race Mustangs, apparently it was easy to offer, and the competition doesn't offer it.

But believe me, plenty of Americans are complaining about it, too.

Ford isn't the only manufacturer to do such things. Put your Nissan GT-R on a dyno and it voids the warranty. You can dyno a Mustang all you want, for now.

the loss of launch control dosnt bother me much as will prob never use it but its the hole dwindling down of extras on the car that hasnt even arrived yet.tha justification of the price diff between here and the us was we are getting the lux ,perf pack.by the time it arrives here we will prob get the basic pack with foa version of luxury pack(floor mats) and performance pack(a few stickers)

I couldn't agree more mate. One of my pet hates is seeing this great nation become soft as a banana and no one is getting of their asses and doing something about it. It's getting worse everyday.

We are a Nanny country now.

Last time I checked the LS1, LS2, LS3, L98 and L76 V8s are used in the USA as well.

There is a link on FB from Ford EU with the mustang doing a little sprint.

Surprise surprise they dont show much of the rear end but I swear I saw those horrible tail lights....has anyone got a rational explanation for them?

FYI - There is a CGI viewer of the GB version of the mustang here:

https://mustang.ford.eu/#/en-GB

no vents, a different backed end config - tail lights, GT badge and reverse\fogs

US version gallery for comparison

This was a Mustang shown on display in the UK over the weekend, think it is still Pre Production and the steering wheel is still on the right hand side but at least it gives you more of an idea of what the Aussie Stang will look like when it finally gets here
