u probably had it coming to u that they closed the thread as it wasnt really a positive one. sorry i hope i dont sound mean but everyone has their own opinion

if you are upset on having 2 of your threads closed i really feel for you

i have had more closed than i would like to forget

some i think wernt to bad that they should have been closed

others should have been closed and and i should have had my hide put on a platter

for this reason im saying get over it and learn to live with the admin and moderators of this site

If you look at it again, I'm sure you'll figure the real reason. Consider the possibility that the wafer thin area of useful ground it could conceivably cover had been traversed and it had started to go in circles. This leaves a thread with nothing left to offer but a nice place for people to insult each other, I don't need to have that on the list of things that needs checking.

There are literally thousands of inane chat site out there that will let you discuss such things until the cows come home, some even allow flaming if that is your bent. This is not one of them.

Opinions are a wonderous thing and those that are expressed in a manner which is in keeping with the values held by the site administration - which values are clearly expressed in the site T&C that everyone here agreed to (whether they actually read it or not), are always welcome.

Unfortunately, not everyone has proven to be capable of expressing their views in the required manner and thus we have to close the odd thread.

Strange though it may seem to some, it is not a form of vicarious pleasure that the mods and admins follow to fill their lives as they are all busy people and have better things to do with their time than close threads merely because someone has to resort to insults or other breaches of the T&C, presumably because their argument has either proven to have no merit or they have reached the limit of their capacity to debate.

This hard line on those who choose to behave in an insulting or derogatory manner towards their fellow forum mebers is not going to change no matter how much any individual may want it to. If that is not something that anyone feels comfortable with then the rest of the world wide web is their oyster.

Agree with lack of content and its ironic Lotto only starts threads that offer no news, no help, nothing technical, hardly anything car related, etc etc etc.... All they seem to be is a confrontation waiting to happen with the topics he raises then wants to spin crap like "people in Melbourne need to have their kids inside by 4 pm and they get the flu more than people in Sydney" Is that crap for real?? If he honestly thinks that I invite him to Melbourne to come and debate it in a Pub or the like if hes game enough ..Then he reaches for the tissues when they get closed. I support the moderators entirely, even though I was involved in one of the closed threads. Needs to buy some more car mags and get some more popluar interests rather than bringing up topics thats all heresay and little else!!
