I ended up taking the wife to a nice romantic spot by the water - Outback Jacks Steakhouse in Docklands for some epic BBQ ribs. She loved it and wants to go back again.

Because of valentines day being on a Monday, I gave my partner her present on Saturday arvo and night as it was a little hard to get all the family from QLD for a wedding.

Usually all valentines day means to me is 7 days until my birthday. Atleast I should get in trouble forgetting our anninersary or valentines day again. Wonder if I could get away with doing them both on the 13th every year. lol

Soppy and shiz I know. But, women like that kinda stuff at it at least will get me out of the negatives in brownie points.

That was my plan too, as we'd decided not to do anything on Valentines...or so I thought. I'm currently getting the silent treatment, so I guess any flowers etc will now be seen as "I'm sorry" rather than "I love you"

Dammit.

I managed to escape the silent treatment. All it took was a phone call from me saying I was on my way to hospital as I think I've broken my thumb playing indoor cricket. That means I'm suffering a different type of pain though as the thumb was actually broken...

I went away to The Grampians with my best mate as his father was leaving his wife of 20 years today...

We shook hands at the end, and I walked away happy that all I did was be a decent person and mate.

Valentines Day though is a crock. I believe that we should always show appreciation towards people in our lives...except twin brothers. They can get ******.

I usually spend the day showering hot women with attention while their husbands/boyfriends are elsewhere, bitching about Valentines day being a scam.
