i ve had a few cars named , funnily enough that i had nothing to do with , some of them where fairly derogatory names too i might add , one of my very early cars was a very beat up worn out 1600 2 CD door corty, it had the name tinia like foot disease for quite a while

, later on while i was in the process of painting it, it was in undercoat for a while , it became the grey ghost ,
my old cm valiant because of the trademark valiant stocker straight six exhaust note became the "dugga dugga " ,
my xc ute again named by other parties became THE UTERUS,
currently my beloved henry .... the AU has gotten a girly name(not by me) because of the number plate, suuey, and the LS400 probably got the best name , Lexy,
amazing how these names get attached to our limos.

Oh that brings back memories. My first car was a 99 Toyota Windom, which is basically a Lexus ES300. Identical down to the bone and even came out the Lexus factory line and needed Lexus spares. They just badged it as a Toyota Windom in the Japanese Market for a short while. Kinda like the Chevy SS and the Commodore.

Anyway, she was called Lexi too. Still miss that car, some good memories.

Dad has called his last 2 utes "she's my", after hearing the Lee Kernaghan song "She's my ute".

I call it PJ. As it's a PJ Ranger.

My Au Falcon was always known as "the falc" Sounds boring, but we are not calling the new car "the falc" out of respect for the old girl LOL. we are still working on the name for the BF (only 2 months old now)

Having kids and a couple of cars lends to naming cars, our Maroon territory is Reddy, no, I didn't bother arguing about the fact it ain't red. Being the only male in the house.......you may understand.
Just sold the old RAV, Greeny, yes, that was green.

You may have seen the latest addition since I joined AFF a few months ago, ZG Fairlane, Polar White (blonde..), so had to be Marilyn.
Had a ZF for a short while 10 yrs ago, Goldie 2, same colour as ZG I had in the 80's, Goldie 1.
First car as a HQ Premier wagon, bought off my old man who bought it new. Dark grey metallic, no radio, (put one in quick smart), no power steer, put wide steel rims on and painted them black, black curtains, this is late 70's of course, into surfing every weekend, The Shark.

I had a German Sheppard called Boof, for good reason !!
I call my truck "Louie."
Another one "Springs" cause it spends most of its time bouncing down the road.

If I had to name my BA it'd probably be Silverado for one obvious reason. I also have a Cortina in the backyard. You don't need to guess what I'd call that.

My AU ute was initially dubbed the Blue Axe, being that it was Narooma Blue in colour and attempted to chop down a wooden bollard on a cruise once, to just being shortened to the Axe.

Some years ago I purchased a Nissan Pintara wagon from my Brother, it was a faded and rusty maroon 5 speed GXE, complete with a saggy rear end and smoky exhaust. It became known as "Puff the tragic wagon" for obvious reasons.

Although this thing looked and sounded terrible, it was one of the most reliable cars I have owned. Couldn't kill it!

My FG XR6 doesn't have a name, haven't thought of anything yet.

Not the cars...bikes? Of course. The triple is "Combat Wombat", the GSX1400 is "Sledgehammer"...but those aren't actual human names.

The Vespa does...inevitably it's "Luigi". And when I owned a BMW it was "Herman the German"...

My 2001 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor is Moby Vic. (Does the name look familiar?) The '98-up body style is known as a "whale body," and mine is white.

After I heavily modified my '95 Mustang GTS coupe I nicknamed it NVH. Noise, vibration, and harshness are things the factory tries to tune out, but I added all three!

Terry the SY Territory (pretty imaginative, eh), Zoe The ZG Fairlane, and Connie the TE Cortina are my current named cars (the parts bus is currently unnamed).

Previous named cars included Aurelia the AU XR8, Ellie the EL XR6, Ebony the EB wagon, and Daisy the DA LTD. I've named pretty much all of my cars, I get attached to them easily.
