yeah i'd say go a det of kings and a gregory's manual.
then save for new shocks (you'll want them soon!) then go for cold air intake and exhaust/xtractors/ then spend some monet on the gay stuff like indicators then save for AU2 brake conversion then save for turbo then save for new transmission then diff... get the picture? your wallets in for a lifetime of pain :P -Stu p.s. the gregory's manual is written for people with simple DIY skills. they're easy to follow. "gregory's" is just the brand - think you can get them from repco? |

I would probably go with the cheap cosmetic things. Then save what you have left for a good lowering job (shocks and springs). Otherwise you could give your AU a good wash, park it in the garage and go out on the ****. Either way you will enjoy it.

As others have said, a Gregprys manual is a good start.

Save your money and you'll be so much better off, but having said that,
if you really want to lower it, dont get sucked into lowering it too much. Lowering my XR8 was the most impractical, stupid thing Ive ever done! : Scrapes on driveways, even my own, to the point where, if Ive got people in the back seat I have to ask them to get out just so I can get into the carport! Even had to cut down the mudflaps cause they drove me nuts over speedhumps. Caspers right about the stock XR6 springs, they make a lot of sense : |

No, the Series one Fairy had a plain chrome one, with a fairmont badge where the falcon one should be.

Buy a 'Euro' hazard warning triangle for it (UN/ECE27R) - keep aside $22.95 aside for this @ Auto One stores, OR order Hella Australia's Part Number 2901 version, - $30 - 45, it has the highest wind resistance of the two products!
With either option choice you get a nice plastic storage case - keep it in the boot. All passenger cars should carry one. Cheap insurance just in case.... nag nag nag.....

get your grill and rims chrome dipped, bout 40 bucks an item or soemthing :P haha
i'd save it till you can get something done half resonable.. like maybe a stereo system, mags, dev kit and the like.. when you finally have enough money to do one of the things, you'll then be stressing about which mod to do first :P |

one of these (primed for $175, he doesn't have painted black ones)
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/FORD-AU-SVO-F...QQcmdZViewItem Lowering is a top choice. Car looks great. Colour coded (hidden) grill HELPS a LOT.
