Haha, I did a quick google search for 'Elmo' and 'deranged', and found this. Elmo isn't the deranged one - it's Ernie!

Let us compare and contrast:

Elmo: Uses amiable, albeit imaginary, conversations with his pet goldfish as opportunities to learn and grow.

Ernie: Blames malevolent impulses on rubber ducky.
