Ouchies, the car certainly didn't deserve to become a chainsaw that day.

nope, they can be very slow, will have to chase them up next week. Those two shots are part of the 25 taken and sent to RACV - they don't send anyone out any more.

Sorry to see that mate, hopefully the insurance company sorts out something pretty quick for you..

Looks like it will be written off by the looks of that roof and the way the rear end is warped around.

Looks pretty bad. Is the diff assy been moved or mounts damaged or the middle of the roof buckled? You might have a slim chance of having the car repaired if not. I really think you might be looking at another car purchase though after the payout.

Police attended, no action will be taken, apparently it is a notorious corner - 5 barkless trees attest to that. This I was unaware of and had only tried going that way to work today, great call.
So now I wait for RACV and my panelshop to dicide if it is worth repairing. Costs will be too much for me either way and I will have to ask for help which I hate.

Anyway hope all your days have turned out better than mine.
If its a notorious corner, then report it to the council / shire, try to stop it happening to others too.

I'm sure he already knows anyway stevo. Life & forums aren't always about what one wants & doesn't want.

Fairmont99 - Those pics were hard to look at. Exactly the car i was gonna buy down to every last bit but didn't feel comfortable with the bank owning more of it than me & most were close to 20k with the body kit & sexy black leather interior.

Bit surprised at 16.8K market value. Hopefully it all turns out better than good (has to be better than good cos I'd imagine your last few days have been well below average)

I'm hoping for the same outcome as my last car - drove better after a trip to Martins. I am rather indifferent to the outcome now, what happens happens, I ****ed the car and I have to live with it either way.

I know exactly how you feel, I hit a tree just over a year ago and wrote my eb xr8 off, was hard at the time and I hoped they could repair it, but to my shock it was gonna cost more than twice the amount the cars worth to repair it. Doesnt look like much on the outside, but youd be suprised just how much a hit ruins everything inside.

Update time.

After talking to RACV on Tuesday things were looking up with them saying it was all ready to go they just needed to process the quote from Martins. Yesterday RACV had trouble with their internal systems so nothing happened.
Today things aren't looking so good, RACV obviously didn't like the quote, they are sending someone out for a 'live inspection' on Monday because of the 'extensive' damage. This makes me a little worried as writting the car off is not really the best option for me neither if they are just trying to find something to try and not pay out (not that I havn't informed them of everything that I am aware of). Such a pain in the ****.
