Nicely said. Maybe I should have made this poll "What does your car think of your missus/bloke".

We love our cars more than anything and I know that Lynton loves my SP ute just as much as I love the Gecko and we both adore our GT. So we are just a bunch of happy campers here

She loves the acceleration and note of the XR8m, but enjoys the climate control and soft ride of her ED Fairmont.

Although, possibly not as much as our last car, the Supra RZ TT, my wife absolutely loves the GT, especially the colour. On the other hand, she thinks I'm out of my bloody mind buying such a V8 in this day and age. I tend to agree with her...lol

She's not a car person really at all, but shes a smart cookie and I can't get much past her (not that I would of course.. ). For example she knows what a supercharger is, what it sounds like, what is does and how much it costs..DAMN IT)

I love Chris' GT just don't tell him that, the pick up is awesome. I love my XR6 would be even better if it had that special bonnet bulge. Next time.

Having picked and bought my xr6 i love it but after driving my car a couple of times, hubby is not thrilled with it." it drives you instead of you driving it," whatever that means,"its not as fast as my xf". At least mine has all the creature comforts.

My Wife say's she loves it but when it comes time to pull it out of the shed to go for a drive its a different story. I think it has something to do with vinyl seats and the near 40 degree temps we can get up here. No aircon does not help either.

Eamon (Cobra) loves my car and I love his (AU1 XR8). We actually met on the forums when we had our cars, so our cars are part of what attracted us to each other. Mine is nothing spectacular really, but he likes it (mainly because it is manual).

His is a Galaxy Blue AUI XR8 which has a PB of 14.59 - pretty much stock! Being a V8 it sounds heaps better than mine and aside from it being auto, I love it because it is part of who he is. Recently he had an accident in it (went up the back of a ute which had no brake lights on and which stopped suddenly and then took off) and the bonnet is rather horrible looking. The insurance excess is about the same as what it will cost to fix, so we are going to save and pay for it to be fixed ourselves. I hate seeing it like that.

I have no problems spending money on cars, we have spent more on mine than on his really and race mine more often. If I had more money I would spend it on the car too. And we have some plans for mine.

I cant stand blokes who dont like cars and who dont like playing with them. I have chic friends who have blokes who dont like cars and I guess it suits them. But they annoy me.

Mine loves it.

She's not too crash hot about how much we spend on it, but at the same time understands it's one of my hobbies and loves the outcome from it all, and always loves going for a cruise.

Main whinging I get is about when i'll start working on her car :P She has full plans on what she wants done..

Mine OH is great about my passion for Ford even though he thinks he's a dark side supporter (conversion is almost complete )

He is currently helping me do up the EA ..... complete engine & Gear box conversion to EBII ..... so all the wiring etc etc .... hehehehehehehehe .......... Hes getting a bit tired of it at the moment I think as we seem to hit a wall with everything we do ...... BUTttttttt we are getting there & he is still helping me .........

We were actually just out there getting the dash in when he got called away to a house fire ..... he had the hide to appologise for having to leave & it may take longer to get her on the road now ......... I couldnt believe it ....... Told him to get to the fire pronto & we can work more on it later .............

I am spoilt rotten by my man ...... only problem is I will have to help him out when he does his Torry ...... was part of the deal to get him to help me :P

My girlfriend hates my car, and my hobby... of cars. she says i spend way to much money and time on my car, so please read the following after this discussion took place between my girlfriend and I the other week:

"I never quite figured out why the sexual urge of men and women differ so much. And I never have figured out the whole Venus and Mars thing either. I have never figured out why men think with their head and women with their heart.

For example, one evening last week, i asked my girlfriend weather she liked my car or not and she told me she was off to bed, didn't want to talk about it. So my girlfriend and I were getting into bed. Well, the passion starts to heat up : , and she eventually says "I don't feel like it, I just want you to hold me."
I said "WHAT????!!! What was that?!" :
She responded to my puzzled look by saying, "Can't you just love me for who I am and not what I do for you in the bedroom?"
What every boyfriend/husband on the planet dreads to hear..."You're just not in touch with my emotional needs as a woman enough for me to satisfy your physical needs as a man."

Realizing that nothing was going to happen that night I went to sleep. The very next day I opted to take the day off of working on the car to spend time with her. We went out to a nice lunch and then went shopping at a
big, big unnamed department store. I walked around with her while she tried on several different very expensive outfits. She couldn't decide which one to take so I told her we'll just buy them all. She wanted new shoes to compliment her new clothes, so I said lets get a pair for each outfit. We went on to the jewelry department where she picked out a pair of diamond earrings.

Let me tell you...she was so excited. She must have thought I was one wave short of a shipwreck. I started to think she was testing me because she asked for a tennis bracelet when she doesn't even know how to play tennis. I think I threw her for a loop when I said, "That's fine, honey." She was almost nearing sexual satisfaction from all of the excitement.
Smiling with excited anticipation she finally said, "I think this is all dear, Let's go to the cashier".

I could hardly contain myself when I blurted out, "No honey, I don't feel like it."
Her face just went completely blank as her jaw dropped with a baffled "WHAT???!!!"

I then said, "Really honey! I just want you to HOLD this stuff for a while.. You're just not in touch with my financial needs as a man enough for me to satisfy your shopping needs as a woman."
And just when she had this look like she was going to kill me I added, "Why can't you just love me for who I am and not for the things I buy you?"

Apparently I'm not getting any tonight either."

Bit harsh, I thought. Anyways she turned out to be a real bit... errr... never mind.

well, when the time came to order our GT the missus had to have the orange stripe kit (it's ok she's an aries) and she absolutely loves it. when i first saw it when the dealer came around the corner in it, i was umm, oh no wrong choice. after 7 months the lower stripes may well be going much to her disagreement. so to answer the question, she with out doubt loves the appearance more than i do.
