Bogan woman at Hungry Jacks (notice how well BOGAN and HUNGRY JACKS go together) parks her crappy XF right next to my brand new SP23. Young son gets out and leans against the rear quarter of my Mazda. Mind you the rest of the car park is EMPTY. I spot this from my seat and call out "OI, OFF!" Apparently I was being extremely RUDE by calling out like this. If looks could kill.

Another time I was parked on the roof of the local shopping centre, at the end of an EMPTY row of cars and I come back to find a REALY trashy white van right in the spot next to me, the rest of the row was still EMPTY and my front guard has been chipped where the passenger door has been thrown open onto it.

problem is a lack of respect, im all for bringing beatings back into the school system...
i try not to lean on my own car or others but do have lapses. i was bought up to respect another persons property, just seems the young ones (i remember i was one once!) have not been taught this fundamental principal of respect.

My AUII was just under two weeks old when we attended a garden wedding and everyone was milling around the cars, waiting for the bride to arrive. I watched as one fellow leant his backside against the front mudguard of my car. Furious didn't cover my feelings, but I just activated the remote panic alarm. He quickly moved away apologising for setting my alarm off. Shortly afterwards, another bloke was about to do the same thing but at the last minute drew away and said that he didn't want to set the car alarm off again. I just smiled. After that everybody just seemed to move away and leave my car alone. No bad words, no bad feelings and the wedding went of with a hoot.

I read a story on another forum about a guy who had the bonnet of his car quite badly dented by some drink d|ckhead who decided to fall on it. I think anyone who has a lack of respect for other peoples' property, and intentionally touches, and causes damage to property deserves to lose some fingers

What annoys me is little kids who run around the cars, and run their hands all over them. Every single car they pass, they touch. Now I know, they're just kids, and they don't really know any better, but where are the parents telling them not to touch?

However, I do think that if you display your car at a show, you should be aware that there are f**kwits out there who are likely to touch your car. And I would advise that you keep an eye on your car, walk past it regularly if you can. In saying that, people should still learn NOT TO TOUCH and that they have no right to touch!

I'm curious to know, has anyone gone to the extent of putting up a temporary fence around their car at a show, ie some fencing standards, and a bit of rope?

Those belts chicks wear, with those big metal spikes on em, are worse. I caught a chick leaning on my car with one, but before i could tell her not to, the damage had been done. A couple of small dints and heaps of scratches were left on my car, and she abused me, cos 'its only a car'.

Some people dont understand

Remember years ago,a mate, myself and our girls came back to our cars after a movie in the city.
We walk up and theres this dude sitting on the front guard of Peter's immaculate black Corvette, its George Street, Saturday night, theres people everywhere and Pete walks up to this guy and king hits him right between the eyes, : instant nigh..nigh
Now that would have been ok if it had ended there, but his mates got involved, then I got involved, their girls got involved so our girls got dragged into it as well so then theres about 7 or so people brawling on the footpath and people were just walking by like it was a regular thing....couple of em' actually started cheering for the girls.....can you believe it!!!
Ok, so we all got rounded up by the cops and down to the station to "sort it all out", well, all except the guy Pete smacked who got taken to the hospital with concussion.
They actually wanted to go Peter for assault but his legal guy got him off.
But what really ****ed me off was that I'd been hanging out for months to go out with this girl, she was just gorgeous, first date!!!
and what happens.......
She gets into a brawl, cops a black eye and some scratches, ruins $200 dress, gets hauled down to the police station in a paddy wagon, and then Ive got to take her home to her Christian parents at 2.30am (we were going to be home by midnight), Couldnt work out why I never saw her again :yeees:
All because some pr--k decided to sit on someone elses car!!!

It's annoying on a black car when you have just washed it and then the next day you can see finger prints on it.
Think we need a james bond style alarm where they get shocked when they touch your car. :

Hahaha, there is a way to stop people from touching your car.
It's called hooking up a megger to the chassis of the car, and watch people jump as 250-1000v go through them.
Enough to give them a bit of a tingle.

Also, who was it on the first page that set analarm off on their car when a cat was sitting on the bonnet. Thats the stupidest thing i've heard of someone doing. Anyone seen what a cat does when they're scared and try and run off quickly. Lets just say you'd have some nice 'cat burnout' marks all across the bonnet.

Yep ,I cant stand this outlandish behavior, there should be a law against it.

A few years ago the old man had an XW GT,mum would occasionally take me and my brother to softball on a saturday as a treat, anyway we are feilding at the time ,I glance over to look at dads car but to my disbeleaf A lady decided she would place her hand bag on the drivers front gaurd and sit up there next to it.not lean on it sit on it.so im the middle of the game I walk through another game to yell abuse to her to get off the car,and she looks at me like im a ignorant rude teenager.

And a few times ive had people lean/sit on my cars,Ive asked them about the car and how much they paid for it and tell them how nice they've kept it,when they say " nah its not mine mate" ,I say yeh i didnt think so cause it looks like mine has the the same rego as mine,it is mine, so **** off and have some respect for other peoples property.

Even the mother inlaw was showing me some scratches on the new ghia(as if i didnt know),by rubbing them for me.Thanks old girl get away from the car please.

Too true, granted I am a 21 yr old hoon (hoon at times) but **** i coped a flogging when i was a lil'un and i believe it does a world of good. These days our life's are bubble wrapped! We need some thing to shake it up. But thats another story.

Yea i truely hate people whe lean, rest, place something on other peoples cars or generally don't treat other peoples property with respect. Its not yours so treat it with utmost care and leave it to the owner of the item, vechile to destory it how they like!

I really couldn't less so long as they don't dent or scratch my car. I lean and sit on my quarters all the time :

But I agree, unless the owner is ok with it then you really shouldn't.

I couldn't care less about people leaning on my car - that's because I now drive a sh1tbox volvo :. If I still had my falcon, I would be pretty ****ed off if someone were to sit or lean on it.

All my friends know the quickest way to hospital is to touch my car in any other place except the door handles. They won't even slam the doors. Guess thats what happens when i go off the first time they do it ( and i ALWAYS do). Lay down the law from the start and they get the picture.

Car was parked out front of missus work, 2 little kids on little bmx bikes with dad on a mountain bike decide to stop right next to the car, one kid falls over and misses the car by inches, i stepped out side and went off. (i had watched them come up the street) The dad said that they were still learning, well keep them away from cars (and traffic) untill they can ride. He said i was fool. I told him straight if him or any other member of his family touches my car i WILL put him in hospital... He moved on then without another word. I was astonished, instead of saying sorry and moving his kids he wanted to argue that he had more right to be there and if my car got scratched to bad. Might make him think twice next time he goes out for a ride! :MrT_anim: that ever leaves a scratch or mark on my car.

LMAO! How they come to that conclusion is anyones guess considering you pay rego. Yeah that might say they pay rego for a car too but roads weren't built for push bikes! This is a real gripe of mine unfortunately :

I was in a car dealership once, coming out with the salesman, my car's parked infront, and these two scruffy guys walk in and one puts his hand to lean on my car just as I'm unlocking it... I shot him a very nasty (very nasty!) stare and he took it off and turned the other way to feign interest in some of the stock there. Seriously... how stupid can you get....

Yep , I agree , our newest car is an ED Fairmont , but it's OUR CAR . It has a few marks on it , then it's done 288,000k's , but we can't afford anything newer , but that's no reason for someone else to abuse it .

Ok I'm an "Old Phart" but when I was young , dad had a '55 Mk1 Zephyr (I was 2 when he bought it), I learnt to treat it with respect , if not , my butt hurt for day's .
Things these day's are "disposable" , the kid breaks it , you buy another one . So you scratch/damage someone else's car , they can go and buy another one . Oh Yeah , that seems the mentality these day's ,

Lot to besaid about the old car sticker :- " You toucha my Car , I breaka your face "
