I'de rather see more of these on the road than speed camera's...I think they offer a better deterrant, people dont want to be pulled over.

Speed cameras also cant walk up to the idiot drivers who get nabbed doing stupid stuff and tell them how dumb they are actually being. Also eliminates electronic error, and most cops you'll find are pretty fair if you dont pull attitude with them

Are cops excempt from the window tinting laws? I know a few unmarked cop cars getting about my town have some damn dark windows!! And to add to the cheekyness put those sunshades in the rear windows to hide the parcel shelf lights. Not that i need to worry, the scooby-doo is no racing unit!

I just love how cameras are about road safety right...yet they are covert.

Yet then they throw out a bunch of bright coloured cop cars onto the streets to "increase the profile and visibilty of the police presence on our roads....for road safety awareness"

Double standard......but I live in Victoria so I'm used to Vic Police and Vic Government double standards.

They should make the speed camera cars all hot pink to raise the profile of the Government on our roads......but they won't...why?????

As long as they target hoon driving and not random modified cars, I don't care how pretty the cars are.

couple of months ago we got pulled up by a cop on the ''goat track'' murray vally highway between kerang and swan hill i think we got pulled up near lake charm near the s bends. mum was driving and this cop rekend we were doing 110 km around the bends if anybody knows where im talking about those bends cant take 110... anyway we thought this cop had a bad day cause he was very rude and upbrupt... he asked what speed we were going told him that we were going the advisable limit bout 85-90. he had no life at home and just cruised that road just to annoy people doing the right thing.

on the way back we were tied so pulled over for a 15 minute power nap near durrum ox. and asked if we were ok he offered to drive us home to bendigo... so moral is there is very nice cops...

will

Incorrect!

No F6's in WA. (yet)

As for the V8's. There are two or three on "appraisal".

They are not allowed to "join in the action" if you catch my drift....

There isn't a difference. In Vic (despite the stickers on the cars!) the Highway Patrol is called the Traffic Management Unit (TMU).

These cars just get rotated around the different TMUs. No different from a normal TMU car other than paint.

FFS They're meant to be cop cars NOT Fcking V8 Supercars. All they require is the head net on the window and the driver names plastered all over them

What a joke, They'd look better in White and blue...

I cant understand what is wrong with the international standard white Police car coulour.

I feel the australian Police are treating their cars like football Jumpers and have to change them every year to keep them interesting and stand out for the public eye.

No wonder international tourists are opening the rear doors of cop cars and jumping in thinking they are Taxi's.
