Butterfly Effect was freaky, completely freaky... hubby and I were talking about it for days afterwards. Fight Club is one of my fave movies EVER, very trippy but brilliant. The Cube was weird, I liked the idea but I was frustrated when it just finished like it did!

A Clockwork Orange.
Apocalypse Now Redux; gets weird once they start moving up the river. The camp at the end is just a mega weird fest. The Deer Hunter; those russian roulette scenes are good for screwing with your mind, in their own kind of way. Pulp Fiction is odd to put into a normal time line |

Blair Witch Project.
I watched it with a bunch of mates in a paddock out in the middle of no where, late at night, and used a generator to power the tv & video... Nothing quite like seeing a film in an environment similar to the movie!!! The reaction from some of the guys was priceless - Especially after hearing some big macho types bag the film out then listen to their excuses when you ask them to go and check the gate down near the road!

Clockwork Orange is one really screwed up movie but one of the best ever made. Some of the lines in that movie are brilliant. Being John Malkovich is also pretty good as is Reqieum for a Dream. I was so depressed after watching it, it really is one hell of a head f*ck.

American Psycho 2 was good. It has Mila Kounis (voice of meg in Family Guy and the hot brunnette in That 70's Show). For a sequel it was suprisingly good. Quote:

Bad Boy Bubby is just freaking warped!! Another movie that I thought was a little different was "One Hour Photo" with Robin Williams, loved "Dusk To Dawn" a Quentin Tarantino movie with George Clooney.

Anything Tarantino is odd. 'Be Cool' was the last film of his I saw and it would have been good if it made sense.

ugh the first movie that came to mind just then was ken park. Weirdest movie ever (if you could even call it that). Its a really screwed up movie. My mate said i should watch it just so i could see how screwed up it really is. The start is just crazy also.

Ah yeah Kubrick is one of my favourites along with Tarantino.
I forgot to mention Vanilla Sky and Butterfly Effect, two very good modern films (hard to come by!).

well i watched 'Requiem for a Dream' last night, put it on at 10:30pm, isn't the most appropriate type of movie to watch before bed, you're not left in a very nice mood after it thats for sure.
A great movie, moving, chilling, an undoubtedly realistic downward spiral of life when all is lost to drugs! Last edited by JPFS1; 16-05-2005 at 12:26 PM. |

Did "Natural Born Killers" make sense to anyone that wasn't wasted? I think that's the one I'm talking about, has Woody Harrellson and Demi Moore in it if I remember correctly.
