OK here's a short clip from the macas to Albert park cruise.(large file >20MB)
The guys are driving well under 100 on the freeway, so it just looks like I'm speeding, but I'm not. I didn't go over 100.

Yeah, we were doing about 70 in the far left lane. Still a mystery why for a few of us!

There was talk of a cruise day sometime soon(ish), the sooner we get the AU's back together the happier we and the AU's will be!

What a wonderful day, well organised, thanks to Casper & Mick (I know there were others but I'm shocking with names), a very professional & silky smooth effort. More satisfying than appreciating the fabulous cars (and there were many) was meeting the wonderful people who turned out for the event, it really seemed more like a "family gathering" & I for one can't wait to do it again, particularly to meet some of those whose (forum) names I knew but didn't get to chat to. Also to walk away with a prize was extremly rewarding, bring on the next event. :

By the way "The Doc" I wanted to meet you to say how great the wagon looked... BA front was seamless...

Again... geez it was a great day! Casper, you did an awesome job.... i wish there was another one this weekend...

I've decided my largely stock XR8 next year will have some mods and hopefully walk away with a prize!

Also on the exhaust note competion i thought the Red XR8 (down near the beginning of the competion) sounded awesome... not sure of who the owner was, but i believe it had pacemaker headers and had one TOUGH note... aagh, nothing quite like a V8!

Trust me, it was a VERY close comp for best sounding V8. I had the Red Herrods ahead all the way to the TL which I put even but the other judges preffered. It was close.

Well what a day it was, from a miserable morning to a fine day so we could show off our beautiful cars, a big THANKS goes out to all that helped on the day, Casper did an excellent job as usual, Deathxr and partner for cooking the bbq and to Mrs. Whoosha and Tracey (REDXR8CHICK) for helping me out with taking over the front gate and welcoming everyone with a great big smile, thanks again girls. There were so many folk I didn't get a chance to meet but there will be more events to come to fix that, Goran, top effort mate, I know coz I tried catching up with you but you were to busy filming Anyway, here a just a few pics from the day. ENJOY

Thanks for the compliments, I'm sure will meet up sometime soon, this great day has given me the enthusiasm to attend many more events/cruises. Regarding the (V8) "exhaust note comp", it was won by my brother in his TL (parked next to mine), I learned long ago to let him have his "own way", his "don't argue" usually requires either a hospital visit or weeks of rehab.........or both.

Hey Casper,

There wasn't a prize for youngest child was there? 2 weeks and 5 days? LOL!

It was quite cold for the kids, but I'm glad my whole family could come along.

Actually, there were a lot less kids than I thought there'd be. I guess all those young single bucks had better get at it!

Also, I can understand Casper's reluctance to bring out the new family Kia! e

Well, it was a great first event, looking forward to the next one!

Hey Guys looks like a good day had by all. spewing that circumstances prevented me from heading over the enjoy it with you..

No offence to the XR and T-series cars, but was good to see some "different" cars showcased. Having a forte and wanting to keep it looking that way, it was nice to see a lot of the forte/futura brigade out and looking good.

Congrats to all those involved in organising a successful event.

Yeah, there were so many XR's and more than a couple T Series cars that I was wondering if next time the XR's could have their own space, then the T Series, then the others, that way comparisons between similar classes/catagories would be easier, and us non XR and T series guys don't feel like it was a performance convention! LOL!

An idea worth considering for next year I think!

Thanks to the guys who have posted the pics, they've been good to look through. Yesterday was a great day, I think we've all taken part in something really special.

Again, thanks to the organisers, and thanks to all who rocked up.

There was 4 T-Series(2 TL50, 1 TE50, 1 TS50) out of the 52 cars that were there.
There was around 24 XR's, so close to half the cars there were XR's.
