Yeah, what were those people thinking by putting the 'bogan stamp' on our flag...

Must be why i put mine on my car, because i dont see many stickers with the union jack... but wait... thats not australian...
Maybe you could come up with a symbol that is more aussie and instantly recognisable?

A kangaroo? as opposed to a navigation point used by the brits, the dutch the portugese and anyone with a boat in the southern seas from the 1600's.

Has anyone mentioned those front 'bull bar' looking things that looked like 3 fluorescent tubes??

They were something I kept scratching my head about...

Oh.. and retro fitting extra trailer style rear lights on the parcel shelf, with a central brake light that has the word STOP in it...

Aaah yes, I remember those things. My Aunty and Uncle had one fitted to their Datsun 180B (when they were new) and even as a kid I thought it was a bit strange to have something like that mounted at the front for protection and it was plastic :

I was told once that the plastic tubes were for keeping water in for an emergency :

lol. I remember seeing them on XDs to XFs all the time during the 80's and 90's.

The whole stripes on a BA-BF XR6/XR8 thing has been done to death as well. I'm not a fan.

Bubble windows -
I had black plastic ones on both sides plus rear barn doors of my XC GS Panel van - very cool

Murals -
most Holden vans had painted murals but there were magnetic murals available for that l'ess permanent' look. They were about 500mm x 300mm in size

shaggy/fluffy cloth material -
adhered to the complete dash, rear parcel shelf plus all over the console. If money wasnt an issue, it was all velvet.

Gabriel pump up air shockers on the rear - gave the illusion the front was extremely low but was a real horror when cornering fast.

a P.A. speaker under the bonnet attached to a CB radio so you could speak to those chicky babes walking along. :

XB/C nostrals on anything other than a XB/C should be torched.

I can't believe I saw them grafted onto a BA.

Funny we are talking about this, it was only this afternoon I seen a XE with an ACTUAL XB/XC Fluted bonnet on it. It was a disaster. Just picture the curvy bonnet directly grafted onto the super-square XE

Van man I would have a van in a second (sex-ond?) if the missus would allow it. I STILL love them, but they were a fad.

Driving home from work the other day i saw a silver XD van with proper lift/drop tailgate and factory S pack.
Was a tradesman van, roof rack, tow bar and stuff, but in pretty good condition.

I started to dream...

"Sig Erson Cams" stickers.
GTR-XU1 stickers on nearly every LC & LJ Torana, even 4 door ones too!

I remember one sticker that i had on the back window of the XB GT coupe in the 80's that every one wanted but only a small minority could get......
"FALCON GT club of Australia"

I actually like those :

But B&S utes really annoy me to no end its not funny.

-Cannon exhausts
-HSV bodykits on none HSV's or moreso VX/Y/E kits on earlier commonsnores
-Altezzas : they look like steaming, and cheapen the look of the car in all ways.

i absolutely hate it when people have stickers on their windscreens saying
FORD

HOLDEN
oh my god, lucky those stickers were there! i was struggling to tell that 180sx from that commodore over there!
honestly the most obnoxious and riciest fad i can think of short of cardboard body kits
