Yeah ok.

My comment on Pantera light hearted as clearly doesn't qualify but just an attempt at a joke mate.

I'd love to get my hands on a TX3 Turbo 4WD but they virtually impossible to get your hands on these days.

Be interesting to see how it would drive with a Borgwarner K03/K04 that's factory fitment on cars like the Fiesta ST/Ecoboost Falcon etc.

I'd imagine it would crack close to the 200KW mark at the engine, in a car that weighs sub 1200kg and has an AWD system without being a laggy POS to drive.

Just checked. You are right for sure.

Starting to think the F6 I drove wasn't stock after all. It bloody hammered (was at a dealer).

They certainly are, surely it could be built though.

I imagine given it was only putting out 117KW and mid 200nm of torque in Australian spec it's probably got a box designed for an NA application.

It was a well known issue with the original mazda GTX/GTR and it was never fixed as far as I know because mazda dropped out of rallying.
Someone fixed the issue with doing a 'project binky' ie fitting a toyota gt four drive train.

Barra turbo’s feel faster than you expect. It’s the sudden lump of torque that comes on quick. They don’t need to build up like na engines do. So they instantly feel fast. It’s deceptive, and i reckon its also the reason they are faster than other cars with similar power to weight ratios. That big lump of torque from so low down makes shifting a heavy car perfect. While an na rival is still winding up.

Kw for Kw, this is why the barra 6T creams the V8.

Seems like the V8 has it up to 3000 RPM until the I6T spools up that turbo.

Thats 4th gear. After 3k all the V8 see's is taillights. an extra 100Nm of torque will do that.

That's the inefficiency of superchargers on show, I wonder what a Miami would be like sans supercharger but with Garrett GTX 3582?

I imagine the Miami Falcons would feel nicer to wheel about on the streets, there's no denying that low down torque on tap from that positive displacement supercharger.

Wouldn't blame the supercharger.
It's the mild tune they gave from factory.
Remember reading that the throttle on the 335s only open a max of 50%.

They're both making around 413KW/wheels on that graph so I'd say the supercharged Falcon has been tuned as well.

Positive displacement superchargers are less efficient than turbos, the only benefit is it's giving you 8-10 PSI down low, that sub 3000 RPM point on the dyno chart until the turbo starts moving more air where the power curves diverge at a guess.

I'm just speculating, someone with experience should probably explain what we're seeing.

Maybe. But the % of throttle is really limited in the lower gears. Thats why they feel sluggish stock. Tune fixes all the restrictions

Most likely. But the GS was strangled much worse.
