Busy weekend !

Au got New 02 sensor & K&N panel filter , and fresh coolant change .

Soarer got new Slingshot Torque Convertor , and back on the road after the last one ate itself ! Still , over 250 1/4 mile passes & 80,000kms on any performance convertor is Damn Impressive !!!

Boost is good , and AU has improved its fuel economy already

Test fitted front pod thingies, Im happy with the way it looks, all I need to do is get them painted and fit them in a more permanent way than the little bit of double sided tape I used for the test fit.

Got stuck in park gear at the local fence place.
Had to remove the centre console around gearstick and use a pen to get it out of park.
Obviously it had to happen just before I had to go to work.

Giving the 3V a little bit of right foot on the way to and from work.

Then deciding it was time for some new brakes after putting it off for 6 months.

midnight -
Washed it and took for a drive
Low and behold even though stars in the sky a patch of cloud came over and a light dusting of rain came down. LOL
Topped up petrol as some stations had risen prices by 20cents a litre, others slow to match.
Is nice though just driving at 2am in the morning, plenty of room, no slow persons holding up traffic etc etc.

Got home so rebuffed the thing when i got home and came upstairs.

In 33 deg heat,I jacked up the car to take the wheel off after finding a screw in the tyre. Then repeated that on the trailer due to the same problem. Ffs. Two punctures at the same time. Only thing keeping me from going berko is,I have plenty of JB bonded and I will drive the beast tomorrow.

I decided that I will only keep the BF XR6 for another year and then sell it to get a AU XR8.

Went and parked it at the Dodge dealer and drove a brand new 2013 Ram 6.7L I-6 Cummins turbo diesel, fully loaded, left a few black lines on the road - then got back in my vehicle :(

Dont be : (

This is what we could pay for a second hand 2012 one > http://www.carpoint.com.au/all-cars/...-12452146&Cr=0

How much are they in your neck of the woods?

When I was over seas for work I tried to buy one, if I can remember correctly, around $40K for a brand spankers with all the bells and whistles, they would only ship to a US base though, I must admit I was nearly in tears.

Was the same for the Harleys I was looking at, about 1/3 the price for what they want in AU.

I must admit that I rate the Harleys as a agricultural bit of engineering, but for the money they were asking I would be happy to be riding around on something which has the same motor as a high volume water pump.

P.S, I cannot believe the mark up that we are charged in AU, its a legal form of theft if you ask me.

On topic, I tried to buff out a scratch one of the kids put on the car, no joy : (

2012 Laramie crews are going for about $50k, the 2013 I drove had the sticker price of about $58k, but discounted to $55k. The 3500 will have an Aisin tranny, stronger frame, and more power and torque! 287 kw/1150 Nm. Not too bad for stock specs
