On occasion. Where I complain about the EL having no power - she reckons it's got heaps, but I think it's just that the accelerator is touchier than the explorer one.

ey blackers10 firstly the description you gave says your car wasnt stock.
mine was stock no zorst nuthin, hub caps n all. 16.6.
and you u got a stall. wat the hell its not stock. arrgghhh

yes but my mods PLUS the extra weight of a fairlane.. AND the 20" wheels AND sub box/amps/subs them selves... with only overall minimal mods... i was seeing .6 seconds faster.. i just dont see how there can be so much with the extra weight mine has over yours

IIRC, my previous EF 4lt had a stall point roughly 200rpm higher than my AU. Seat of the pants, it was much livelier as well, but could've just been the fact that the AU is smoother and quieter.

In the EF-EL's the stall for the sixes in the BTR was 2000-2200 rpm.
In the AU's:
BTR93LE: 2000-22000 rpm
BTR97LE: 2000-2400 rpm.
