Anyone ever seen that Aussie movie made back in 1999 called In The Red? think it was filmed in NSW. can't seem to find much info on it at all.

I can't believe that 'Two Lane Blacktop' hasn't been mentioned.

So, mine, in no particular order...

Two Lane Blacktop.
Le Mans (I talked my mother into taking my brother and I when it was on at teh cinema).
Running On Empty. I saw some of it being filmed in Greenacre.
FJ Holden. Filmed around Greenacre & Chullora. My mates 7 i kept getting told off where they wanted to film a scene out the front of my friend's place, we kept on skateboarding through the back of the shot...
Christine.
Duel. When I first saw this, I was really spooked because I thought that the truck didn't have a driver.
The original Italian Job.
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
Herbie, The Love Bug (first movie).

before my legal driving days i rode up to the old chullora drive-in on my push bike where the FJ movie was having it's first showing.
i ended up watching the movie sitting on the ground parked next to the actual FJ from the movie with the speaker box on my handlebars

shake'n'bake ricky bobby!

they were great and cant go past Eleanor The real star of the movie Turn the Home theatre up flat out to feel the engine thru the change scene at the end

A movie the takes all the good things bout cars and movies and takes a dump on them by makin it all a gimmick has to be Tokyo Drift, WTF, Words can't describe how cr*p that movie is

Not much love for the Fast and the Furious series. I think its ok for entertainment and not to be taken seriously.

One movie I remember watching years ago when I was quite young was Metal Skin. Had a a couple of car scenes

I HATE that movie metal skin. They made that back in the days when I was a regular at the dandy drags. Bad bad movie but could have been sooo good. I fell asleep in 10 minutes.

By the way that valiant in the clip wasn't blown. The noise was sampled from a blown XY GT show car that was popular at the time.

That would be Initial D, the live-screen version Well if the hero's car is a Toyota AE86 Sprinter, and he was versing Lancer Evo's and RX7's and stuff down the mountain?

Or it could have been Wangan Midnight (high speed highway racing)

I love them both, as well as the Anime series of both.

The start of I am Legend where the Shelby GT500 is being driven through the empty streets.

The movie starts and ends with that scene if you ask me.

My favourite car movie had the man moving the matchbox car over the lady's tit's !

Circa mid '70s I think. He even made broom broom noises. Milky white they were. Damn Pt Elliott drive in cinema. Etched into my feeble brain that one... what a scene.

Another vote for the MAD MAX movies.

That super charger is insane - although if there was really minimal fuel left in the world would you really need a supercharger that would guzzle 20 liters of fuel a minute???? :togo: :togo: :togo:

Running on Empty
- "Spotto, a dead kangaroo..."

Midnight Spares
- "Goes faster on fire, does it"
"Only with me in it"

I remember another one, loosly based around cars I think it was called Running from the Guns?

Check out a 1995 film starring Chad McQueen called Red Line. It's Steve McQueen's son and boy does he love cars, too.

Michael Madsen, Corey Feldman, Jan Michael Vincent, Dom Deluise working with tacky dialog, silly car stunts, no real plot, what more could you want?
