Thanks for the comparison with the LPG Falcon
mines old school Tickford dual fuel in an AU and petrol costs are closer to $1.30 than $1.20 but mines @ 59cents/litre so about half the cost of a petrol car to run and probably about the same as a hybrid Camry I still know which car I would have

The old LPG CO2 debate is always a good one.
I wonder if you took into account the whole CO2 amount from its manufacture to its end use how it would compare the Petrol.
Remember LPG is a by-product of the oil industry.

A little bit off topic, but if we are considering the feasibility of alternative fuels:

True, there is ba difference in CO2 emissions from lpg and petrol at the tail pipe. TP

One has to look at the "well to wheel" emissions for the total pic. The CO2 created from the extraction, importing and refining of oil to produce a litre of petrol is almost as much as the CO2 emissions at the TP

What can make a difference is where the lpg comes from. Australia has large reserves of lpg that doesnt come from importing and refining of oil into petrol and that can give lpg a distinct CO2 advantage here.

Ha ha our BA is incredibly accurate, it runs out at almost exactly 14 ks left till empty. I have had this happened to me twice. Shame on me! The worst part is the second time I was trying to get to a servo because I knew. Passed about three that have pulled up stumps over the past ten years though.

Yeah sorry I stuffed that up pretty bad. I'm used to always working it out on 60litres as thats what i tend to fill into my AU.
