drove to and from work in WPN270, toyed with a vt wagon (i'll give the guy points he could actually drive) and then slaughtered him (he was gracious in defeat)
looked at QTR ELF (my ef drag car project), measured up front headlight area for new turbo induction (removing drivers light and replacing with mesh. Rubbed back front bar to get ready to plastic weld the crack and holes on bottom of bar. might get the aluminum panels to make gauge dash and door panels tomorrow.

Giving the 3V a little bit of right foot on the way to and from work.
Then deciding it was time for some new brakes after putting it off for 6 months.

midnight -
Washed it and took for a drive Low and behold even though stars in the sky a patch of cloud came over and a light dusting of rain came down. LOL Topped up petrol as some stations had risen prices by 20cents a litre, others slow to match. Is nice though just driving at 2am in the morning, plenty of room, no slow persons holding up traffic etc etc. Got home so rebuffed the thing when i got home and came upstairs.

In 33 deg heat,I jacked up the car to take the wheel off after finding a screw in the tyre. Then repeated that on the trailer due to the same problem. Ffs. Two punctures at the same time. Only thing keeping me from going berko is,I have plenty of JB bonded and I will drive the beast tomorrow.

Further to this, put $70 of 98 in just before the price went up. Also ordered some new registration plates and will be booking it in for an exhaust kit tomorrow.
Hoping my fuel lasts more than a day this time!

I installed some brand spanking new speakers in the rear parcel shelf last night. High quality Sound4 speakers at a whopping cost of $8. Picking up the fronts today for, wait for it.... $7. Gotta be better than the OEM speakers though, right? Right? Next month will most likely be a new head unit to replace the aging old Apline unit that I have where the back light on the LCD screen went ages ago so the only way I can see what's on there is if I use a torch or if the sunlight hits it just right...

Ordered parts from England and the USA.
Received parts from England. Too wet outside so I couldn't be bothered fitting anything today. Put some more V-Power in it! |

This is what we could pay for a second hand 2012 one > http://www.carpoint.com.au/all-cars/...-12452146&Cr=0 How much are they in your neck of the woods? When I was over seas for work I tried to buy one, if I can remember correctly, around $40K for a brand spankers with all the bells and whistles, they would only ship to a US base though, I must admit I was nearly in tears. Was the same for the Harleys I was looking at, about 1/3 the price for what they want in AU. I must admit that I rate the Harleys as a agricultural bit of engineering, but for the money they were asking I would be happy to be riding around on something which has the same motor as a high volume water pump. P.S, I cannot believe the mark up that we are charged in AU, its a legal form of theft if you ask me. On topic, I tried to buff out a scratch one of the kids put on the car, no joy : ( |
