No offence taken LOL.

HISTORY LESSON TIME

Horn cars were born by a McLeod Ford for late XA but mainly XB Coupe. There was probably some sedans floating around with the same treatment but 98% 2 door. Different stripes, spoilers and interiors mainly.

Can understand why people don't like them but they are just so 70's and for some of us stuck in that era they are just brilliant. They epitomise everything that was the 70's ...... excessive over the top design with some bad taste thrown in Bloody brilliant.

And if you want to buy one ..... they are rare in original condition. Bloody rare and would love something like this which is for sale for around $70,000 which is reasonable to say the least.

Imagine going to a car show and only seeing cars with undercoat and stock wheels ..... because someone decided that it only about the car and not about being individual in presentation. After all, its a bit like saying that aftermarket rims, bright colours and bonnet vents are not cool anymore! Be bloody boring!!

Yeah each to their own. I'm 21 so it was well before my time but I understand the nostalgia for those of you that were around back then. The name "Horn" is pretty horn too...

My sister had one of those!

One day she took it to my uncles factory and fired it up. At the same, my brother fired his V8 ute up, then turned it off after a minute, while my sis left the Torrie running... After a few seconds, my uncle says "Takes a while to stop spinning!"

In the early 1980's the Ford Laser (a re-badged Mazda 323) has a big sticker along the bottom door sills which looked a lot like it read LOSER

Mazda put out their own sticker which read WINNER

Sadly can't find any images of these fabulous cars.

I think you are thinking of the TX3 Turbo all wheel drive laser.

Nearly bought one brand new back in the day, then realised I would have had to sell my XB Coupe……well no laser and still have my coupe today
