That’s a very effective video, Tonz.

I think we all agree people looking at mobile phones while driving is extremely dangerous. It’s even annoying when you have to dodge people fiddling with their phones on city footpaths as a pedestrian.

The new cameras are a great way to catch people doing the wrong thing. But occasionally, the motivation to catch offenders turns to desperation and tragedies occur.

Easy fix. On the spot loss of licence for first offence of three months or a big fine like say a couple of grand .. Bet ya that'd curtail a fair few from driving while using them .

Re offend within three years and go for a year and five grand ..

Not only drivers either are distracted ...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQPQ-OaJyhU..

Who are these wrong people you refer to, do you mean people breaking the law?
Who determines what laws are minor and shouldn't be enforced?

But I copped one at a set of lights many moons ago for touching the phone, copped it on the chin don't touch it all now.

Really need to be focussed on driving these days given how distracted other driver are because of phones in the car.
Not so, the people on their phones were already doing something illegal, that's not Entrapment.

Entrapment would be if the people weren't on their phones and the police had the ability to call them and then if they picked up their phone and they got pinged, that's entrapment.
