I finally saw Torque during the week. What a shit movie that was! Some of the effects were pretty cool, but the story could've been written by a 12 year old and the acting was terrible. It made The Fast and The Furious look like a masterpiece.

Oh god yes. I saw the first one at the movies a few times, it was a great action movie.

Then nerds everywhere jumped on some weird bandwagon of the depth of it all and how much meaning it has. I saw the second one at the movies, almost died from boredom and still haven't seen the third.

Someone tell me I'm not missing out on much?

Worst movie EVER seen: "Doppleganger" with Drew Barrymore.

I cannot stand any of the LOTR movies either. :

The Whole ten yards.

Time Bruce Willis turned in the towel, and take those other idiots back to acting school.

God, where does one start? This thread has turned out some overwhelmingly bad movies.

I am a Tolkien fan and loved the books... first two movies were pretty good but by the third one I wanted to kill someone. Boring!!!

I dunno why ppl put up Zoolander, very funny, ya just gotta think outside the square. Love Ben Stiller movies (Dodgeball, Meet the Parents etc) and Owen Wilson's broken nose thing is damn sexy.

Queen of the Damned was the only one that Anne Rice actually approved of, she said that Stuart Townsend (so particularly droolworthy, the keyboard is drowning as I type!) was the best Lestat. She hated and wiped her hands of the Tom Cruise/Brad Pitt one. QOTD produced some brilliant music too.

Fast and the Furious - Vin Diesel, need I say more??? Boring as, but he's worth the watch.

Saw Matrix 2 and hated it, didn't even bother with the third. UGH.

Fell asleep during Van Helsing... stupid stupid stupid.

Entrapment was friggin AWFUL, I watched the first 10 mins and turned it OFF.

The other very bad movie that ends up being stupendously amusing is one by Ed Wood called Plan 9 from Outer Space. Brilliantly bad. Amazingly stupid. Ya gotta see it!

Some of my faves are:
Fight Club
Highlander (only the first!)
Mad Max (only 1&2)
Bridget Jones (sorry to the guy who hated it!)
Galaxy Quest

and I have a penchant for English comedies and collect them - Red Dwarf, Men Behaving Badly and Black Books...

VAN HELSING what a wast of bloody time that was.

So bloody over the top with the ****y talking and shithouse special effects....why did they ruin it???

and I have a penchant for English comedies and collect them

Ditto. But movies like : Bean - the disaster movie should have been stopped before production started. More than 30mins of any Mr Bean movie is unbearable. Blackadder on the other hand, thats good stuff.

Matrix 2 was ok but the third sucked for sure.

I love horror movies but I recently saw Child's Play 5 : Seed of Chucky. The script (for a horror movie mind you) was horrific. Had some funny moments but was so so wrong.

Historically, it is fairly close to the truth. What's made up is the romantic version that everyone has seen redone a hundred times. I enjoy this more romantic, and chivelrous version also, but appreciated the more factual account of 'King Arthur'.

By the way.....there is no Santa Clause.

As far as crap movies goes:
Battlefield Earth
Solaris
Insomnia
Anything with Ben Stiller in it, and a couple snake movies

i notice no one has put the GT movie as a fav, is that because u all forgot ????? Or perhaps because ur too afraid to be the first to say that it didnt really meet ur expectations after all the hype and hoo haa.
With all the build up prior to its release I couldnt wait to get my hands on it but when i did i thought that maybe i had been given the longer version of the trailer. Also i found the making of it much more entertaining than the 'movie' itself. Anyone else???
But the scariest part of all was the little bit at the end dedicating the movie to the car culture of Australia, doesnt say much when the car is stolen and the actors are playing crims, is that how these guys REALLY see us??

heres hoping their second effort is a little better thought out
food for thought :lookedat:

Freddy vs Jason: Movie didn't do it for me at all, would have to be the WORST SHITTEST movie I have ever seen in my whole entire life.
Zoolander: Just a stupid movie don't know why they bothered.
Taxi: I thought this movie was just tryhard, so ghey, EXEPT the part where the hot chick cop gets searched! That made my week! Actually I still think about that scene it's so good!

to me horror movies dont exist, as they always come across as comedies. like was mentioned earlier, saw. there was some retarded woman in the cinema that would scream when stuff happened. after everything was going 'the most evil movie ever maaadeeee' i thought it would be good, but it was kind of slow.

Quote:
chicago the worst ever. FullStop.
you think the movie's bad? try being dragged along to the fkn play, lol

Dreamcatcher: i saw that recently and wtf? it's kind of serious up until ol jonesy gets posessed by the alien, and pulls that bloody weird expression and smile, and then speaks in a ridiculous british accent for the rest of the movie. and this guy named Duddets, lmao, for all of you who havent seen it, picture a man say 'scooby dooby do, we have some work to do now' and go up to face off against a giant alien worm with literally over a thousand teeth, get stabbed, and then turn into an alien himself. oh no. And then it just abruptly ends. as i said, its alright up until when jonesy pulls that face, then it gets random.

And 'the ring', was that supposed to be scary? some random was going on about when the well-girl climbs out of the tv, and her face is all wet and evil, its the scariest thing they'd ever seen. i saw it and it lasted for about 2 seconds, and wasnt even scary. why not just clobber the stupid b!tch over the head?

Most steven segal movies crack me up cos of the way he acts, its always the same, slightly highish tone of voice no matter what he's doing or saying.

This isnt exactly a movie, but it was fkn advertised down my throat for about a month prior to its airing. 'love my way' on fox8 (cable) o..m..g. It's the typical 'australian drama' (as it was advertised as) and the ad for it was about 2 minutes long and was all in slow motion, and it had that woman from some other piece of crap australian drama in it. I never actually watched the show as i was so enraged by the CONSTANT ads and the fact that fox8 had adopted its theme song for most of their commercial breaks as well. so, if anyone ever watched this abomination and liked it, my apologies, but god...

Ya gotta remember that the Queen Latifah version was a remake of the damn fine french movie called Taxi. The car scenes in the french version were worth it, so if you see if on SBS one day, watch it.

Oh and another bad movie I thought of: First Knight. When Richard Gere tied his horse to a rock and the ROCK WOBBLED, then that was the end of it for me...

I see pretty much every film that is shown in the cinema unless it is obviously ghey :P
I think it would be a whole lot easier to list movies that I have chosen to watch more than once.

The Boondock Saints (brilliant film)
Highlander
Saving Private Ryan
Black Hawk Down
And maybe a couple of others can't think of any more though

Come on, The Shining was good as! Not the Kubrick version (although it was alright for a shortened version), the longer one.

I remember a pearler of a Stephen King movie from ages ago. The Langolears or some shit, where the plane flies through the northern lights (and anyone who wasn't asleep disapears) and travels back in time 15 minutes where there are a bunch of weird things that eat everything after time has moved on.

DAAAAMN that was weird.

I warn you all, do not watch "Sky Captain and the World of Tommorrow". What a boring, cheesey, dull movie with no story line. Did I say cheesey? I'm glad I didn't pay to see it.
"Sphere" also springs to mind as a shocker. "Ooh, look out, the sphere is going to get me!"

I must say though, I didn't mind the latest "King Arthur" movie. If it is indeed the supposed true story, well at least I learnt something. True, I do prefer the movie "Excalibur" and that classic story.

Any "Horror" movie is shite to me.

I grew up with an older brother who used to love watching them, and I would stay up late watching with him. They don't even begin to scare me, and their story lines are an absolute load of crap.

Recent crappy movies I've seen would include Elektra, and The Grudge(friend made me go see it, and I should have gone with my first instict of saying no, as he was the one that picked the last horror movie I saw "Blair Witch Project" which was a total waste of time).

The Ring was another stupid movie with an incredibly stupid story line.

haha, i remember that. it was a tele-movie wasnt it? and at the end one of the guys has to stay away or something to fly the plan but he had become emotionally attached to one of the women or something and they all wake up and find only his watch remaining *wipes eyes* lol. if i remember correctly, didnt the langolears (weird, ball-like things with teeth) end up eating everything just as they took off?

As much as I will probably be flamed I'd have to say "Once apon a time in America" long, boring, and at the end it left me completely confused.

And yes I did pay huge alot of attention to detail during it.

The first Highlander ROX! The third film should have been the second, it would have made more sense, but the fourth one was a bit lame.

The first Highlander is the ONLY Highlander in my opinion! Queen soundtrack, Sean Connery, Christopher Lambert and all those Scottish accents... god, it's enough to make a grown woman weep with lust!
