Why couldn’t you just let it go? Why was it so important to you to have it clarified? Why was you selfish need for confirmation more important then your friendship and respect for this woman? If she had not been naked would you have cared?

I do not judge others for the decisions they make and I will not blame this woman for posing for a men’s magazine – I am sure she had her reasons. your condemming me because i told someone a secret . ( not really ) . the person i told is a reformed heroin addict who is running a respectable company business. one of the best people i have met . has a past and doesn't judge anybody . nor do i . do you hate everyone that tells you a secret ? 2ndly if it is for an opinion do you abuse them for it . if so you must be a lonely person.i could've ran to another nieghbour and showed them . which i chose not too because the whole street wouldve found out . i made it clear to the person i told not to tell anyone . he asked if he could seek his wifes opinion as she has experianced more problems in life than a mere porn pic . so i agreed . her reply was it is not her . so thier it lies . its over .even if it was it would still be over . so what is your problem .i sould've ignored the pic alltogether and pretend i didn't see it .but i didn't so maybe me and everyone who has evr told a secret are not worthy of friendship from people like you . and i trust you dont buy any womans magazines ( like new idea or womans day ) because then you would be paying for gossip and lies .

Ummmm, IF she WAS clothed & in say, new idea or womans day, would there have been all this cloak & dagger detective stuff?... Not taking sides here, but from my 1st read of this, I thought it a little like "schoolboyish" stuff!

Why am I the one that needs to take a chill pill? Why am I not allowed to question this bizarre excuse for a post? Why are there no teapots appearing in this thread?

So many questions????

The simple fact Frank is this – it was not your secret to tell. You didn’t think about her or her feelings at all… your only concern was for yourself and that you required answers. That is all I am pointing out, think about it from the other side of the fence.

That is it, my last word on the subject. So can we talk about cars now or what??

To be honest I can't see how it could be called a secret when the magazine is available to any legal age person of the public.

One of my EX Girlfreinds posed naked for a well known publication a few years back , just before I met her, and I asked her if she were in the same situation what would she do ? ( We are still good friends ) She said she would be only too happy to sign it for someone if they asked her and were polite about it ! She is very married these days with a little one . She is who she is , and enjoyed her life so far ! Why hide what she has done ? It wasnt illegal or anything .

Of course , Not everyone is the same , so descretion would be advised .

Tori, don't you think you are being a bit harsh?

Any person knows that an action like posing in a magazine will pretty much last forever, so the woman here would have known that these pictures will always be around and she accepted this.
Also not all men are gentlemen and these magazines get around, regardless on whether it is an elite magazine or not.
I am not familiar with the Penthouse black label but I assume the pictures a classy and this is the respect each woman pictured deserves.

Sounds like PirtekGirl is being overly defensive for poor old neighbour... WHY????

Said women posed at her own will and would have been paid nicely for it and most likely enjoyed every minute of the shoot. Most women that do this are totally proud and feel a sense of empowerment (i'm not referring to hardcore here).

Get over it i say, she made the decision, too bad if she lives to regret it. She sold herself off to the public, therefore she's scrutinised by the public.

I see nothing unusual or really wrong with what gtfpv has posted.

Better with PICS though.....

I can't believe the personal insults you are throwing around over something so pety.

Are you feeling ok??? It's like you have some issues here?

I think a breather would be a good idea, then re-read the topic starters posts, bit of innocent curiousity is all it is and doesn't justify such harsh critisism.

It's incredibly rude to demand the last word on a subject and tends to suggest you dont have the courtesy to clarify your position. There must be tens of thousands of automotive related threads on AFF - you cant throw your hat in the ring in this thread and then question why we're talking about off topic stuff. But moving on....

In all honesty this has been a fairly light hearted topic, perhaps your response was somewhat of an overreaction? I think your perspective is understandable but there's certainly no need for the personal criticism/insults.

The person's decision to appear in a magazine is their own. You have to realise something that goes to print will be forever in existence and you cant be sure how people will react. Not tomorrow, next year or ten years down the line. You cant pose nude in a publication and then crack the sh**s at people for their reaction.

Yeah, the discussions probably been a little immature but WGAF? Just a bit of light hearted fun. No one's been hurt. Dont take life so seriously!

At a party or gathering simply stand with her, for a chat. Casually state "Y'know, one of the guys at work came up with something really interesting in this old magazine the other day.....", give her a quick sideways glance (or look straight at her and smile), then suddenly notice someone else (or the dog doing it's business, or whatever), and walk away.

If it was her she will know you know. After that just wait and see if she raises the subject, or begins to act differently (or avoid you all together).

Keep in mind though that this may be a subject she finds distressing. Simply because she did the photo-shoot then, doesn't mean she is the same person now.....

.....and for God's sake, don't start acting like a jerk-off around her......like smiling over the back fence every 5 minutes, and crap.

If you are wrong (and it's only wishful thinking), you'll end up having hubby over to sort you out, thinking you're hitting on his missus.

Ahhh porn.

The real reason Bill Gates invented the internet.

Tough dilemna GTFPV, if she's a good mother to her kids and a good wife then I suppose you couldn't tell her for fear of messing with those relationships. I'd say best to keep it to yourself and the people you've already told.
Good Luck keeping your minds eye from wandering when she's around.
