They seem to be fairly cheap amongst the other 1gig players out there....only because every other 1gig player has a screen, fm playback, sound presets, etc etc etc..
If you had the extra money, you'd be better off with a more full featured 1gig player (trust me, when you can browse songs with a simple LCD based flash mp3 player - you will feel a lot better than pressing the forward button 99 times to find the song you want) or spend the extra money and get a hard disk based player.

I've got a 20Gb Creative Zen and a 5Gb M:robe, I tend to use the Zen more as I find it a little easier to operate (while driving - hehe).
Also, heres an idea on how to mount it in your car. I use get the factory mobile phone mount kit (that folds away inside your center console), and ran an extension cable inder the centerconsole trim to the AUX jack. looks neat, can fold it away when you part the car, easy to access and select, and easy to remove when its charging time. (I just velcro-ed the zen holder to the mobile presenter, and just take the Zen out of the holder to charge/add music etc etc).

I have an iRiver H340 - It's a 40gig HDD unit with video feature, after firmware upgrade.
Couldn't be happier with it, It's drag and drop, can be used as a storage device and unlike other MP3 players it can be direclty connected to a digital camera via USB and used as a portable harddrive if you're on holidays etc etc. Not much else to say, I sold iPods when they first were launched up until last year and wouldn't touch one to save my life, but that's a perosnal choice. Anywho any questions feel free to ask.
