I don't get out often enough, never saw the thrill in going to them until you see a few good ones on DVD and the likes.

First was back in about 2000. Silverchair, Grinspoon and Jebediah.

Not sure which was first (but still got the ticket stubs at home), all around 1989 or thereabouts:
  • INXS: Kick tour
  • Noiseworks (Moomba concert)
  • U2 - Lovetown tour 1989
  • Steve Winwood - Back in the High Life tour
Prior to that, Dire Straits' Brothers In Arms tour was the one I wished I went to.

first real concert was in 2004 at the brissie entertainment center, Korn, Static-x, fear factory and sunk loto, was quite a good concert.

first mosh pit was at the river stage this year at the korn, disturbed, hatebreed, 10 years concert, and it was for hatebreed, i thought it was pretty brutal untill disturbed came on and everyone suged forward and we lost one of our group, later found her unconcious about 20meters away after the whole disturbed set.

The first I can remember going to was Metallica in '98 with Horsehead at newcastle.

Probably that or Machine Head at the Uni Roundhouse in sydney would be one of the best shows I have been to.

First concert i remember going to, i know i went to many before, was the AC/DC ballbreaker tour here in adelaide, got Angus Youngs guitar pick, cant beat going to school the next day not being able to hear and trying to explain to your year 3 teacher why.

Since then, so many live bands its not funny, 2 of the best shows ive seen were System of a Down and Slipknot at BDO, that was awesome, but cant beat seeing a live band that you know, then going drinking with them afterward. Each time my mates come over from the states its a massive road trip and a big drinking session, great fun

Having said that, the support band was unkown to me, certainly not The Quo. Must have been a different tour man. Maybe it was '74. I went with my Dad as a youngster, I'll ask him.

1972 'youth' concert at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne when 250,000 of Melbourne's youth got together to listen to Lobby Loyd and his coloured balls, Billy Thorpe, etc.

What a night; the whole place was rocking. Ahhh! the memories

The next one I saw was the Corrs in 2001...that was hot! (Andrea had me weak at the knees)
Followed by that Was John Mayer, Live (Twice), Jamiroquai, Benfolds and WASO..and most recently...Pearl Jam

First major one was Big Day Out in 98 or 99 (Korn, Manson, Living End). When to Blink 182 on their last tour, and Grinspoon not so long ago, U2 was the last one (and the best)
